Great educational toy
Such a fun STEM activity to allow kids to develop problem-solving skills within Science/Technology/Engineering and Maths. We had lots of fun exploring cause and effect and how to alter the course of the pendulum. Lots of giggles and some amazing chatting about what was happening/what might happen next/why things happened etc.

Great activity
This is not a game...which is where I think some reviewers got a little muddled. This is a great STEM activity to do with your child while discussing some of the more basic parts of physics. It was a great starting point and gave some focus and aim to our discussions while learning useful skills about testing an idea to prove it.

Great play and learning experience.
This is great fun and a nice little learning experience for any budding engineer or scientist. Basic cause and effect physics using a pendulum to knock things over - and kids love to knock things over! It is very self-directed when used as a toy but my grandson is having a great time getting all his lego and blocks out and making massive towers - then using his new pendulum to knock the whole lot down. He is not old enough for the theory side yet, but the practical is currently hilarious fun.

Great Fun Science Learning Toy
A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) toy encouraging development engineering skills.Great interactive learning toy, sturdy chunky design makes this a great toy and will offer hours of play. The idea is to teach some simple science in a way that doesn't really feel like a science lesson in a fun and interactive way by encouraging experimentation. Anything which can encourage the enjoyment and furthering of interest in science can only be a good thing. Recommend.

Didn't inspire my STEM-mad, would-be scientist 6 year old
Not as great as some of the Learning Resources products. This set comprises a pendulum with a removable "tee", two balls, 8 cones, an arch and 2 traps. The idea is that you copy the increasingly complex set-ups detailed in the accompanying activity cards, for example, there is one in which you have to boot the ball off a cone with the pendulum, into one of the traps. When we opened the game, my 6 year old son systematically went through the activity cards and replicated each set-up. He wasn't particularly motivated to experiment with the set. I didn't find it particularly stimulating, either. The set is supposed to be illustrative of forces and motion, etc which, of course, it is, but it's not very inspiring. My son is STEM-mad and a keen would-be scientist, but this wasn't for him.

Simple science
This toy is meant to help with basic science. It is very much on the applied side of physics. Essentially it is like a mini-golf set. You get a pendulum hammer and a variety of objects to set up, then drop the hammer onto a ball and admire Newton's Third Law in action. My kids enjoyed it, but it didn't really capture their attention for very long.

7 year old loved it and was kept occupied for ages
Suitable for 5 and up but my 7 year old tester loved it. He didn't need any instruction or assistance and played happily with it for ages (leaving mummy happily online trying to find a dress for a wedding!)Very good educational and entertaining!

A good toy for teaching engineering and design skills in young children.
This is a fantastic product from Learning Resources who are very well known for producing good quality educational games and toys for young children. This 'Pendulonium Stem Challenge Toy' is the perfect introduction for children to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) which also as an included art component for STEAM lessons (science, technology, engineering, art and maths). Perfect for children aged five and above.Inside the box are the following … • Challenge guide • 17 individual components (the tallest piece measures 19.5cm) • Sheet of stickers • Activity guideAll of the pieces in this set have been made using good quality materials, each item is brightly coloured and can be made even more fun using the quality stickers provided. My nephew aged five has been having great fun designing and 'engineering' some excellent items using the guides. He has made pendulums, launchers and other pieces using great ingenuity.I think this is a must have educational toy for most girls and boys whilst still in the early years of primary school and it could certainly give them a little understanding in the concepts of engineering and design technology.

No le gustó mucho
Pensé que mi niño de 5 años se iba a entretener mucho más pero no fue así! No sé porque qué, pero no le atrajo mucho

5 year old son enjoys it alot.
I want to give this five stars because it's a hit with my son, but the one issue I have with it is that you have to hold the pendulum stand steady or it falls over when it swings to hit the ball. Other wise it's been a fun activity for us.

So much fun
This toy is a lot of fun. Lots of options are provided with how to play but we love setting up our own and being creative. Definitely gets the kids thinking creatively. Highly recommend

Open Creativity and lots of thinking but maybe missing something...
I like a lot of toys from Learning Resources. This one does have my kids building lots of "obstacle courses" and trying new ideas. My problem is don't feel like this is the same level I've seen with their other products. The pendulum is slightly crooked making our long or challenging shots veer to the left. (May just be my particular box) There are no real instructions, just a few pictures of things to try and a sticker sheet. You can do quite a bit with this set alone but its a little redundant. Adding a few small toys of my own changes it up and add more possibilities. I wish it had some other pieces to go along with it.
