Great Value and great fit

We have been shopping for a dress shirt for my husband for years, but a larger neck generally means a balloon shaped shirt and super long sleeves. For years, he has been rolling up the sleeves and folding/tucking the extra fabric of the shirt into the sides of his waistband. No more! These shirts come in a variety of neck sizes and sleeve lengths, and the fitted shirt is slimmer in the body and fits nicely. Most importantly, it's the same great quality shirt you can find at department stores at a more affordable price!

Perfect fit with 17.5” 34/35 (xl), feels tailored. A great option if a classic/regular size is too big, but slim fit is too small.I wish they still made other colors and prints.My stats (to help you choose a size):5’ 8” / 210 lbs / chest 47” / waist 36 (in Levi’s) / biceps 16”. I have a large 17 3/4” neck, so I can’t wear a tie, but the fit across chest is great. It’s fitted around the belly, but not so much where it make you look like sausage. It actually makes you look leaner and more polished off. I’m a little wide in the shoulders, so that fit is a tad tight if I reach out, but the stretch fabric makes it barely noticeable. If I got the 18” version, it would fit at the neck, but too loose everywhere else . The 17 inch version would be way too tight.All in all, it’s a nice crisp looking shirt.

I purchased this shirt as part of the grooms men’s outfits for a wedding I attended recently. I have a few comments:Positives: fits well for the cost, affordable. Slim fitted shirt fit fine and looked great with an undershirt.Negatives: nearly sheer, absolutely requires an undershirt (my farmer’s tan is visible through the sleeves). Quality a bit on the poor side. Threads securing the buttons each started to unravel after a single wear and wash. Could be unique to this exact shirt, however, as I have several other Van Heusen shirts and they do not have this problem.Furthermore, I would recommend shirt stays with this particular shirt as it is very, very light and easily untucked. I was the only groomsman wearing stays, and I was the only one that didn’t have to constantly retuck the rear of the shirt in.Overall, for $20, this is a manageable dress shirt. If there was some assurance that the issue with the button threads unraveling was unique to my shirt (although admittedly it appears to simply be lackluster construction quality), I would consider purchasing again. However, Banana Republic and J. Crew constantly have sales on similar shirts of a much superior quality for a comparable price ($18-25). I would exhaust other options before pulling the trigger on this shirt.

Originally bought this for my son's prom tuxedo, and it was definitely a great addition! He has worn it two times since then for other occasions, and it's very soft. It looks very good on his slim, muscular physique. He's built like a swimmer or a soccer player. I will definitely be looking to buy this, in some other colors, for him in the future, if they're still here?

Too big. Packaged well. Just too big.
