McVitie'sChocolate Digestive Caramels, 300 g

I was doing ok. Exercising, eating fruit, intermittent fasting, reading ‘Men’s Health’. Everything we’re supposed to be doing as 21st Century humans.And then I tried these biscuits.Holy mother of sweet baby Jesu. They have been gifted to us mortals from some kind of higher power.You won’t find a better biscuit, but unfortunately this means I have ballooned over the last year to nearly 20 stone. My neighbours laugh at me when I leave the house, and sometimes make grunting pig noises as I’m waddling to the car.So, whilst I would give these five stars for taste and excellence, I have to mark them as 1 star for being the sole reason for my demise.Damn you and your heavenly biscuits, McVitie’s.🙁

I've normally got a soft-spot for pretty much anything containing chocolate, but these fall into the neither one thing nor the other category. There's enough caramel to disturb the usual lovely texture of McVities chocolate biscuits, giving these a rather gluey texture instead. But not enough caramel to add a real caramel taste and texture in the style of caramel chocolates.
