good quality movie on your ceiling!
One of my favorite projectors. It's so handy and painless to set up unlike normal projectors. This means I actually want to use it. I can bring it to any room. When I'm feeling unwell, I can angle it to project to the ceiling as I lay in my bed. I love that feature. it also looks so cute, so is a nice room piece when not in use. The optional app gives you fake windows to project, but the video quality of those windows suck. you're better off finding your own window videos on YouTube. I ultimately returned this because I'm worried about the economy and decided to rein in my spending.

Versatile
This thing is awesome. I've been wanting a projector for years and years and this new crop of portables got me to pull the trigger. The versatility of this thing is amazing. I'm always finding new places to use it. I recommend getting the travel case, it's really nice. You don't even have to do giant screens with it. Sometimes I'll just throw up a little screen on the kitchen wall from the counter. Git it

GV31 vs GV50
I originally purchased the GV31 and liked it--good color and clarity and very cool design--but it has limited keystone correction which is a problem with angled projection on ceilings (esp from a nightstand table). After talking with BenQ customer service, they recommended I return it and purchase the GV50, which looks very similar but has more robust keystone correction. It's a bit wonky to set up, but it's worth it for ceiling projection. The only bad thing I can say is that the GV50 stand's tilt functionality doesn't work well. I'll probably tilt it with a book.

An Instant Favorite!
I fell victim to an instagram ad for this and ordered on a whim after realizing how great this would be to have a second game/sport on to glance at and handy enough to bring it back to my bedroom to watch off the ceiling in bed or on my balcony when it’s nice. After a weekend of sports binging I’m def glad I jumped on this! It’s great.

Way to slow and not worth over $500.00
I bought this for use in a Roof Top Tent and it works well for that projecting on the tilted ceiling.but it's not very bright and is the worse of three projectors I have for auto focus and auto keystone. Also very slow, hope they fix some of this in firmware but it's been out for a year and no improvements yet. After now being able to use it more I really wish I could return it, the thing is very slow and can't seem to get 4K movies from a usb drive to play they stutter like crazy and sometime just stop.I know it's a 1080P but should be able to downscale without a major issues.

Best wheel of projector cheese on the market!!
Simply put, you won't find another projector like this. (Except for the previous models, and future ones, hopefully!) The GV50 is an *amazing* combo of design, functionality, and aesthetics - it's so round and spinny and utterly adorable!! My partner and I waited literally since it showed up in BenQ's website last June to get the chance to order this, and we are so happy we did. We're moving back on dorm at college this year, and needed a portable replacement for a TV, since we're too broke to afford any good ones (especially any good ones that can project directly above us in bed!) It's an easy, bright, high-resolution, and so, so, so cute solution to wanting to game and watch movies together. As amazing as all of its normal features are - such as zoom, auto object avoidance, and electronic image positioning so that you don't even need to move the actual projector to move the image - the spin just takes the cake. Being able to point in any direction, easily, and in such a neat little form factor, is *incredible*. Adding onto that, the battery life??? It's crazy that BenQ has managed to squeeze so much juice into such a cute little projector. And really, the thing is *cute* - it's a wheel of cheese that you carry around and mount in a room to watch your TV shows! That, my friends, is what I call good consumer engineering. It's adorable, it's bright, it's high quality, it's got *amazing* audio, and I carry it around as my friend everyday. It's so cute, how could I not?? Final rating, Wheel of Cheese out of 10, buy it, buy it, buy it buy it buy it! The sole downside is that you'll have to carry it around everyday in its little box like it's your bestest friend, because it is now.

Horrible Product Support
BenQ apps don't work properly. They can't even find the projector most of the time!! Poor Android support but Apple support not much better. I accidentally selected a foreign language and now I'm unable to get back to English. There is absolutely no way to do a factory reset and support people can't help. It's a serious product design fault. This could happen to anyone who happens to fat finger a language change and makes the projector absolutely worthless! Returning the projector seems to be the only solution!!
