I bought this item for my wife when she got her 6th generation iPAD. She choose this over the Otterbox because she did not like the flap on the Otterbox when trying to take pictures. It is also not at thick. It is a tradeoff, as there is nothing covering the glass for protection. She got the version with the hand strap which she loves. She can turn the device vertically or horizontally. She says that the hand strap saves her wrist from getting sore. We did discover that with the hand strap, we didn't see a way to use the stand to stand the iPad up. As she rarely does that, it's not a big deal for her, but something to be aware of. She even put the UAG on the iPa herself (which she was quite proud us). It's relatively new, but she says she loves it!! (and me too!) :)

I do wish it had a kickstand of some sort but for what the product is, I love it. I have another UAG case for my surface pro and it has lasted years. I expect this product will do the same. It'll fit any after market charger, comfortable hand strap, good protection around camera and buttons.

This case appears sturdy and rugged, however I gave it four stars because it does not have any option to have the iPad stand on it's own at an angle. This case is good to transport and if you plan to use the iPad as a hand-held device. But if you want protection and to be able to set it on a table to watch it at an angle, this case does not have a "leg" to hold it upright.
