Can this hold 5 passports easily?

I have just checked with a current UK Passport and 5 would fit fine in the rear (most secure, out of the way) pocket. For somewhat easier/quicker access the main pocket or the uppermost of the two front pockets would be no problem to fit them. For reference the UK Passport is about 12x9cm and 4mm thick.

Can it hold a kindle and Samsung s8

I have a Motorola one zoom and a kindle lite which fits in this bag, along with wallet purse, passport, tickets etc. Maybe a little bit bulky, but it stood me in good stead whilst backpacking round Peru and Galapagos. I hope this helps

Are the pockets deep? I dont want to store different items in different pocks just so they all fill the bottom of the bag.

This bag is really handy, all different sized pockets, all easy to access, largest pocket holds a ipad, wouldn’t be without it . Highly recommend.

Can it hold an iPhone max

Yes, in the main compartment. I holds quite a lot, surprisingly. I had in mine a large purse, Motorola phone, passport, reading glasses in a case, coin purse, small packet tissues and antibacterial hand wipes and hand fan. I travelled Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Peru and Galápagos.
