Doc wanted me to buy alkaline water from the store, but I have well water. He said I could drink mine if it were over 8. When I tested my water it tested 9!!

I ordered these to check the pH balance on my homemade hot sauces to determine if they were shelf stable or not, the results "seemed" to show that the sauce was in the range, or possibly close, but I could not get a precise enough result to make me risk health and safety, so I cannot rely on these and I personally would not rely on these for fermentation or brewing processes where precision is important. This may be a limitation of the strips themselves.

They work fine to measure acidity in water at tap but unfortunately I chose the wrong item as I really wanted to know water hardness level. That's my fault and if you want to how acid/alkaline your water is these strips are very easy to use and understand
