101 Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey 70 cl, 50.5% ABV - Ideal for an Old Fashioned

This is a delightful bourbon. Smooth, yet warming. Vanilla, toffee and a well rounded oak on the palate. You’ll have to spend in excess of £50 to compete with this! Truly unbeatable value for money.

Good bourbon and strong after taste. Wasted on a mixer if you ask me. But a splash of water will do. Or cola.

Without a doubt one of the best bourbons I've ever tried, the one I buy most because the flavour is fantastic.

An all rounder and a workhorse in my home bar. Great for cocktails that need a punchy Bourbon that wont get lost in the mix. There's plenty of nice Bourbons out there but I wouldn't go any lower in proof than this for cocktails. Supermarkets usually have it for around £30+ so it's nice to find it on Amazon at £24. It has some bite but is still pretty smooth for a higher proof too and as such goes down just as well on it's own from a Glencairn glass as it does mixed as an ingredient in a cocktail. A versatile bargain Bourbon that in my opinion punches well above it's weight.

I recently tried Wild Turkey 101, and it’s fantastic! The bourbon has a bold, rich flavor with hints of caramel and spice that really shine in an Old Fashioned. It’s strong but smooth, and perfect for sipping or mixing. The 70cl bottle is a great size, and it feels like a real classic Kentucky bourbon. Definitely one I’ll be keeping on hand for cocktail nights!

First time trying. It will now be my go to. As it arrived I cracked it open and poured a tiny bit in a glass. I left it to sit for a few minutes then gave it a good smell. It smelt like a bar of caramel chocolate with fruity notes at the end. I sat smelling it for a good 10 minutes and decided to give it a try. Explosion in the mouth. Sweet caramel flavours hit the tongue, followed by heat that fills the mouth. A nice spicy almost cinamonny flavour afterwards and no burn in the throat whatsoever. It was really early when it arrived and I said to myself I wasn't gonna pour a proper one. The flavour sat for ages inviting me for more. I couldn't resist so poured a double. It recommends using this as a Base for a cocktail or mixing it with coke. I may have 1 with coke but honestly I feel it would be a waste. It's so nice by itself it really should be appreciated straight.

Melhor bourbon, levando em consideração seu valor que já tomei. Ele é marcante, um pouco picante e presente. Tem um aroma delicioso, cheira a baunilha e folhas secas. Tem menos água em sua composição, o que torna mais forte. Top!!

Anfangs war ich skeptisch, wollte halt mal probieren wie sich etwas anderes als Jackie so anfühlt. In diesem Fall muss man ihn ja mit dem Bonded vergleichen, und da gewinnt der Wilde Truthahn das Rennen. Er steht dem Jackie in nichts nach, ich neige dazu das er sogar besser schmeckt. er ist angenehm weich und hat nicht so ein alkoholisches Brennen. Aber Bourbon trinke ich in dieser Preisklasse nicht pur sondern als Mix. Und da kann der Wild Turkey seine höheren Prozente gekonnt ausspielen. Um den typisch angenehmen Cola/Bourbon Geschmack hinzubekommen braucht man nicht soviel wie von einem "normalen" Bourbon. Von mir eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung, meiner bescheidenen Meinung nach ein kleiner Geheimtipp. Vor allem der sehr angenehme Geschmack und die höhere "Leistung", also etwas mehr "PS" machen ihn zu etwas was man in der Hausbar stehen haben sollte um mit Freunden, Bekannten oder Verwandten mal einen schönen Cola/Whiskey zu trinken.

Si estás empezando en el mundo del bourbon o si ya tienes varias botellas en tu vitrina pero aún no has probado el Wild Turkey 101, te estás perdiendo una de las mejores lecciones de destilación que existen. ​Lo primero que quiero que compruebes es su graduación: 50,5% de alcohol (101 proof). No dejes que el número te asuste; aquí es donde entra la parte didáctica. Al tener un contenido de agua menor al ser embotellado, este bourbon conserva una intensidad de sabor que otros de 40% pierden por el camino. ​¿Qué vas a encontrar cuando lo sirvas? ​En nariz: Un festín de vainilla y caramelo tostado, pero con un toque picante de centeno muy marcado que lo hace súper interesante. ​En boca: Es robusto. Vas a notar el dulzor del maíz, pero rápidamente aparecen especias como la pimienta y la canela. Es lo que llamamos un bourbon "con carácter". ​El final: Es largo y cálido. Es esa sensación de "abrazo de Kentucky" que buscamos los que apreciamos un buen destilado. ​Mi consejo para que lo disfrutes: Pruébalo primero solo. Si el grado alcohólico te resulta intenso, añade dos o tres gotas de agua. Verás cómo "se abre" el abanico de aromas y aparecen notas cítricas y de roble que estaban escondidas. ​Es, posiblemente, la mejor relación calidad-precio del mercado técnico. Os animo de verdad a que lo comparéis con bourbons que cuestan el doble; os vais a llevar una sorpresa mayúscula. ¡Salud y a disfrutar del aprendizaje

Ich find den Bourbon hier echt klasse, er eignet sich für Liebhaber sowohl zum Pur trinken, als auch für Cocktails extrem gut. Habe Ihn bereits zum 5. mal bestellt und schätze ihn als guten Allrounder in meinem Sortiment.
