I have bought numerous cat scratching posts over the years and I believe this one is the best quality for the cost. It is not tippy because it has a wide, weighted base. It is tall enough for adult cats to stretch up & scratch. The rope scratcher comes in 2 parts, so I will be able to swap them after my cats wear out the top portion. Assembly was quick & easy. My 5 year-old cat doesn't play was much anymore, but my 1 and a half year-old cat loves the toys included with the scratcher.

Very easy to set up and not an eye sore! I do wish the bottom was heavier as my cat is 15 pounds and it’s a little tippy when he does a full stretch. But my cats do love the toys on it!!

Our cats love this scratching post. We got it to keep them from scratching the couches (which also have protective covers on them for scratching). They love playing with the balls in the base and the feathers at the top. It fits in well in the living room, where we have it at. It's very stable and holds up to their play.

I now own two of these, my cats love them! They do “not” tip over very stable base yet light weight to move around! They look great/more like a decorative piece of furniture. I like you can put dangle toys at half way point or higher on top. Very fun for kitten & older cat. Great value for the money.

I rated this at 3 star due to the fact that the little toy that you stick in has a little feathers hanging out. That's a metal that you stick into the little hole. It comes out really easily. I feel like it should be super. Glued in there, or they should provide super glue to keep it in place. And then secondly, my second complaint is the feathers are getting torn off by my cat. But other than that, like the feathers that hang from the top. Just fine. The scratching post just fine. It was easily to put together. My cat doesn't want to play with the balls that goes around it. She scratches on it. She plays with the toys at the top. She likes to take out that little toy that doesn't really stick and stay in place. Um, that's why it's rated at three.So you get what you get, be careful what you buy
