I purchased this and a Sovereign Gear notebook package, both are excellent quality, this September Leather version is a little wider which gives added protection to the inserted notebooks, there is plenty of overlap of the leather and you could easily insert the Kraft card insert, the plastic wallet and five or six notebooks and still have no items hanging out This September Leather cover has four 'bands' to insert your notebooks etc and an extra band is provided so you can piggyback two notebooks. So there's multiple ways to set this up! The leather is great, a nice leather smell and although it does mark easily (for me it adds character) it's easily buffed out with a minute amount of balm. The paper in the notebooks is pretty good, I've had no bleed through using a variety of pens including fountain pens. The supplied pen is adequate for general use, the pen holder clips nicely to either the outer leather or the cover of a notebook, it sits nicely snug to the cover and is definitely of good use. The little bulldog clip is fairly robust and I can see that it will come in handy at some point. For the price it is of exceptional value and it was packaged beautifully, it would make a genuinely great gift. I highly recommend this!

I'm not sure how/why this is so much less expensive than the vast majority of leather traveller's journals I've seen, because the quality really doesn't suffer from that lower price point at all. The leather feels lovely, it's all very well cut, it's satisfyingly soft so it doesn't have that stiff new leather look I hate but it still feels nice and sturdy. The notebook inserts are really nice too, the paper is smooth and a nice off-white colour. The additional accessories provided are very high quality and mean I've managed to fully set up the journal with everything I need to take it out and about without hassle. I do have a couple of very minor pieces of feedback, but they're definitely not big enough issues for me to knock my rating down from 5 stars. The pen loop attachment is great and the included pen is pretty nice to write with, but the pen loop is slightly too small for it so it's a bit of a struggle getting it in and out. Also I think it would be great if a pencil board was included in this set to provide a more stable writing surface.

Beautiful, excellent quality and it comes with everything to get you journaling out the box, they even throw in a pen. Size is perfect, this should last a lifetime be interesting to see how it ages as I love it when my journals age.

This is a really lovely item - I travel a lot and wanted a journal to keep notes on the go, and this does the job perfectly. The leather cover is sturdy - it does get marks on it a little quicker than I might like, but overall looks great. It was packaged well, and came in a lovely cloth bag that I have been able to reuse. The pen holder is great, as are the other little freebies that came with it such as the plastic wallet and kraft folders. Both are sturdy, and have held up for the 7 months that I have had the book. The paper inside is also very thick - it took to my fountain pen well, with no bleed through; I was able to take notes with several different pens, all of which responded well. All in all, I would highly recommend this item. It is a lovely notebook, and is worth every penny.

Update 19/Jul/2024 I purchased further 2 leather organisers, standard size, from this supplier for present. I have received amazing organisers, with great quality, with no issues whatsoever. The both organisers arrived in perfect condition, very well packaged and delivered in time. It became clear for me that the supplier had improved their product quality from the last year, and consequently, I changed my review score from 2 up to 4 stars. Thank you. ——————————————————————- Update 03/Jun/2023 I bought another organiser by the same seller for myself, which left me very disappointed. As you can see from the pictures, the second organiser is very different colour from my previous purchase. Also, the leather appears uneven in colour (more darker in front) and stays on patches. Clearly, this is not the appearance advertised by the seller. Furthermore, appears that each lot of products is different, which questions the quality. I already contacted the seller about this issue and their response was “Hello, sorry but my suggestion is to wait about 2 months (for the current stock to run out) and purchase a new one.” No, I will definitely not! The item is going back and I will avoid this seller in the future. Consequently, I will change my overall experience from 4 to 2 stars. ———————- Nicely packed product, in cotton bag. Good size, which can accommodate a lot, including your passport, travel tickets or boarding pass. However, I am not sure is that a genuine leather - doesn’t smell like my other leather products. This product is painted and the paint easily coming off when you use cosmetic for leather care - see the video attached. So, keep this journal away from your white shirt. I have mixed emotions with this purchase, but start to like it. I am not going to use the metal pen clip, because is too harsh and can damage the leather overtime. However, the journal can be useful when traveling, plus the price of £23 (reduced with 20%) is fair for what you get. Finally, the scratches can be easily removed with leather care balm, as advertised by the seller, but will see what will be the colour underneath the paint.

The leather isn't as nice as the Wanderings Travelers notebook, but its still good. What makes this a great product is it basically gives you nearly everything you need to get started. Blank, grid and lined paper notebooks, the kraft/zippered plastic insert, pen holder and a brass clip. One of the nice things about this notebook is it has 4 rubber connectors which makes it much easier to pack it full without buying more bands. Even then they include an extra one!

Absolutely fantastic journal! The texture and feel are both incredible and feel extremely high need. It feels durable and sturdy. The size is exactly what is described and works well for a standard everyday journal. They different types of pages are a plus as well giving you versatility for whatever you’re plans are wether you’re writing or drawing. I’d definitely recommend. It also comes packaged beautifully and safely.

As most others have said, the paper quality is excellent and is good with many pen and paint types. I've added a fourth book to mine (on an elastic hung round the back of one of the books), Which I use for scribbled brainstorming lists. Cut down from a standard A5 book (they are the right height, just too wide) it was a Sea Salt notebook given to me as gift last Christmas; although a pretty cover, the paper in that is nowhere near as good. However, there are other A5 books out there that are a lot easier to find than this narrow size so that's where I'll look when I need some good quality refills. Yes, the cover does mark but this doesn't bother me. I have recently treated it with a leather restorer and that soaked in and covered all the marks so this might be an option for those who don't like the scuffs. I've had it for 6 months so just feeding the leather twice a year doesn't seems too onerous a tasks. The leather is tough and fully protects the contents but is flexible at the same time. The original pen was lovely but I wasn't able to find refills that fitted it so instead I now use a waterproof fine liner pen, and this is a good substitute. The plastic pockets are just the right size for small Post-Its, a folding ruler, some postage stamps and some pretty paperclips. Although I have included them in the notebook, I haven't used the carboard pockets yet and if I want to make a criticism it is the the little bit of double sided tape closing the bottom of these packets doesn't stay tightly stuck. Truly, that is the only thing I can find wrong with the whole notebook. I am so glad I didn't spend out on one of the expensive 'named' versions.

Perfetto. E' diventato indispensabile per me e mi ha aiutato a costruire l'utilissima abitudine del journaling.Provvisto di tutto il necessario ad un prezzo molto basso. Pelle spessa econ una finitura opaca molto soddisfacente. Con l'uso si invecchia rendendo il notebook unico. Gli elastici non sono di chissà che qualità ma svolgono egregiamente il loro lavoro. Tutti gli accessori sono molto utili. La penna scrive bene ma non la ho usata molto, preferisco stilografiche. Unico appunto che è veramente una sciocchezza perfezionista, avrei preferito che il metallo della clip e del portapenne avesse la stessa finitura ma capisco che a questo prezzo era chiedere veramente troppo. Se volete buttarvi nel journaling e vi piace l'idea di un taccuino a inserti di questo formato difficilmente troverete di meglio a questo prezzo. La stessa marca ha anche il formato A5, un pelo più ingombrante ma tornando indietro forse avrei scelto quello più che altro per la vasta disponibilità di quaderni sostitutivi in qualsiasi fascia di prezzo!

Leather is fine but the paper is sub par. Pen broke after 2 weeks. Cannot properly fit all 3 booklets. Value for that price though.

I've owned Traveler's Company and Paper Republic traveler's notebooks, and surprisingly, this Newestor has become my favorite. Here's why: The biggest advantage is its value. The leather is durable, develops a beautiful patina over time, and requires virtually no maintenance. While I can appreciate that Paper Republic uses premium leather with very good leather smell, I personally can't justify paying the price of a luxury handbag for what is essentially a small piece of leather with a few holes. The leather quality is excellent, but the craftsmanship involved in a notebook cover doesn't warrant that level of pricing for me. I wish I found this before the other two name brands. Compared to Traveler's Company, I also prefer Newestor's design. Traveler's Company places the elastic knots on the inside of the back cover, creating a noticeable bump when writing on the right-hand page. Newestor moves the knots into the spine between the inserts, resulting in a much smoother writing experience. The leather is just a touch thinner than Traveler's Company, which I actually prefer. It wraps and flips open more naturally while still feeling sturdy and durable. My TV version is in camel color but in suede leather which I actually don't care for. I didn't know about the suede leather until I received it but that was the only option for the color I could chose at that time. If you're looking for a traveler's notebook that offers good leather, ages beautifully, is highly functional, and costs a fraction of the premium brands, Newestor is an outstanding choice. Unless having the Traveler's Company or Paper Republic name is important to you, I think Newestor delivers the best balance of quality, usability, and value.

Impressive quality, especially considering the price! You really do get a lot for your money with this journal. I haven't tried Midoris (now "The Traveler Company") journal, so I can't really compare the two, but this is a really nice journal. The included inserts are all fountain pen friendly, though I find them a little too scratchy for my liking, so I ended up getting Midoris dotted inserts. The included card-folder and clip is great! Can't wait to see how it ages over time. Stoked.
