Nextmug Go - Temperature-Controlled, Self-Heating Travel Mug | (Burgundy - 16 oz.) – No App, Long-Lasting Battery for Work & Study, Great Gift for Coffee Lovers

I would like to start by saying this is not a paid review at all. I am very passionate and very picky about my coffee mugs. Feel, taste, features, spill-protection, and quality all go into account and this travel mug checks pretty much everyone box. I included photos as well to better show off the mug. I ended up getting myself this mug for Christmas because the other one I got from Walmart (pictured) was so bad. It was tiny, died incredibly fast off the charging pad and took so long to warm the coffee up once turned on. The Nextmug though blows it out of the water. Only takes minutes to have my coffee at the perfect temp, which for me is "Warm". I did not test the other temps however because I do not use them. The mug itself stays charged for a few hours while left powered on but undocked from the charging pad, which does not sound too great when you first think about it but you have to consider it is a tall-ish mug that is providing internal heat and holding it for X amount of time. Speaking of that, off the charging pad, it holds the "Warm" temperature setting for about 5ish hours. The lid is incredibly secure, pretty much air tight. I tested by filling it up with water and shaking it and barely any liquid came out. I did not test how durable it is by dropping it on hard surfaces however because I really do like my mug and I'd hate to damage it. Realistically, I'd avoid dropping it at all considering it is a machine at its core and dropping any machinery risks making it dysfunctional. You could also damage the "shell" of the mug, making the test essentially not worth it for me. All the heat is contained within the mug so you do not have to worry about burning yourself while holding it. It holds about 16 fl oz of liquid per the description (about the same amount as the black mug in the picture), half of the mug being the liquid holder and the other half being the charging base/battery. It fits perfectly in car holders and the car cup sleeves. If the battery duration of a few hours does not sound too attractive, one way you can use this mug is by making your coffee in it and then only turning it on when you actually are about to drink the coffee. During a long trip, in the office, walking a trail, among several other scenarios, 5 hours to work with for a self-heating mug is really good in my opinion. The design is sleek, it feels really nice, it looks great, the LED lights are useful and vary (green for the charging indicator and white indicating the temp settings). To put things in perspective, I mostly only used the black Walmart mug sporadically and dreaded doing so. I would make my coffee, sit it on the pad, and wait hours for it to actually heat up. It'd get so bad, by the time my coffee was ready, I didn't really want it anymore. Instead, I drank it because I made it and didn't want to waste the effort of going through making it. The Nextmug however, I've drank at least 3-5 mug fulls of it throughout the day because it's so easy to use, the coffee is ready so quick, and the LED lights are so easy to understand/see. It blinks on the temp setting while it's warming up, then becomes solid when the liquid contained in it has reached the temperature you have set. After that, it's good to go. I've used it nonstop since I have purchased it and there are VERY few products I can say that for. That does it for my review! No, I'm not a salesman and I am not being paid for this review. I am just a very satisfied customer and I really, really like this mug. I know how tough it can be to find the "right" mug and I did a LOT of research before I decided on this one. I considered the one that allows you to use your app through it (I believe it's the Ember one) but something about this one just called out to me. It may be $100~ but I can give 100+ reasons and maybe more for why this mug is so good and worth it. I could do a whole presentation even! Actually works great...my loves her coffee..but sometimes the coffee shop doesn't quite get it hot enough? So this unit heats up to 'piping hot' . She loves it...has for a few weeks and has figure out best way to use it daily. Charges fast and lasts for a couple hours. expensive..but worth it for her.

The mug works well. Heats as described and battery life is good. Downside is how tall it is. The battery at the bottom is a lot of the height, so doesn't fit under my coffee makers drip. Overall would recommend though. Love to two different lids included.

My husband’s coffe is never hot 🥵 enough for him, so this was the perfect 👌 Christmas gift. He absolutely loves his cup. It feels like a high quality cup made from high quality materials. I feel it’s worth the money for him to have hot coffee while he travels. It holds a decent amount of coffee and it keeps coffee hot for several hours (5-6) on the HOT setting and a (3-4) few hours on the PIPING setting, while traveling. After about 4 full months of continuous use, it’s stopped working.😟 My husband contacted customer service about it and they said they would replace it. He said customer service was friendly, their email response was quick and they didn’t talk down to him. He found them to be very helpful. They even told him I deserved extra wifey points for getting this cup for him. ☺️ The replacement arrived about a week later and we sent the other back. Their quality materials and customer service have armed this 5 star rating.

I'm very pleased with the product. Not only was it delivered earlier than expected, the packaging/presentation is thoughtful and attractive. I've had an Ember travel mug for several years and have been a very happy with it. It has saved me money because I'm not throwing out lukewarm or cold tea. And both saving money and having hot tea makes me happy! But it was on the fritz, so I shopped around. This is the first Nextmug I've purchased. I was impressed that they advertised keeping the beverage warm for up to 5.5 hours! I got the travel mug because I thought the handle would be in the way in my car console. I appreciate the generous capacity. At first I thought it wasn't legit because it looks shallow compared to the entire unit, but it really does hold the entire capacity advertised. The fit is good in my hand, as well. Some of the other travel mugs are wide and my smaller hands make using them uncomfortable. But this tapered design means it's very comfortable for me if I hold it a little lower, where it's narrow. Since this is where the battery is anyway, it's where the bulk of the weight is. The coaster is minimalist rather than oversized and everything is very easy to use. While this will be my daily home to work teacup, I do miss a handle. However I still have an Ember that I keep at home. When that starts to go on the Fritz, I'll probably get a Nextmug to replace it because they have larger capacity. I drink my tea by the pot, so dinky cups are an inconvenience. 🙂🫖

The Nextmug Ultra is Great. My mom and I have been using the Ember heated mugs for just over a year. However, my mom would say she wanted a larger heated mug that would keep the coffee hot for longer. Well I found the Nextmug Ultra larger and with a larger battery for extended heating. I purchased this for my mom and she was so happy and kept telling me to get one so I purchased one for myself. I like the color and metal construction for durability and for the size and extended heating duration compared to the 10 and 14 oz mugs this is a great value for the money and as a bonus fits in my cup holder in my car. It is a tad heavier than my smaller heated mugs but the benefits of more beverage and heated for much longer makes it a must buy for anyone that luv hot drinks all day.

Got this as a gift for the wife and she loves it for the most part. When it's cold out, it holds her coffee and keeps it warm. Deducting 1 star because this is more battery than mug; I get it'll need a good size battery to keep it hot but it really doesn't hold much so just keep that in mind. Speaking of battery, it does OK in duration of keeping it hot. If you set to max, you'll get maybe 90 minutes. Mid-hot, you'll get about 2 hours. Low lasts a long time but that defeats the purpose of a hot mug now doesn't it?

Totally works! The only thing I dont like about it is the lack of insulation on the sides. When its full put it on the piping hot setting. When its at half put it on the middle heat setting then when you dont have much left in your cup put it on warm. The lids go on well and love the larger quantity. Glad I upgraded, shes a keeper. Full disclosure shes a bit heavy and fits in the vehicle cup holder 👍

I have been using an ember mug 2 for a long while but it doesn’t get hot enough for me and despite always using a wooden spoon, the coating inside is coming off and I don’t feel good continuing to use it. I bought the ember tumbler since it doesn’t not have a coating inside but day after day when filled with hot coffee it kept saying that it was empty and would never stay connected to the app. So I decided to try something different. The nextmug is quite large but does not hold as much as it looks like it will. Presumably that’s space taken up with a bigger battery/heating element? However, that’s fine for me. I like not having to use an app to control it and it heats hotter than the ember mugs which I like much better. The lights show the battery level and the temperature setting. So far I’m very happy with this mug and much prefer it to the ember mugs.

I bought the Nextmug travel ultra because it held a lot of coffee or tea and kept it hot for hours . I purposely took my time just to see how well it held up . It passed with flying colours .after 3 hours it was still hot It’s a game changer , a bit pricey but worth every penny ! Love it , u will love it too !
