This has changed things in my house for the better. No more digging about in a smelly tray first thing in the morning. Had to try out a few litters to be happy. I find Cats Best the one that suits the machine most if you don't wish to pay a higher price for PetKits own brand. Catsan natural just clogged the Shute so I would give that a miss. My cat took to it straight away after putting a bit of her existing litter into it. I think she likes the privacy it affords her. She digs a lot when using it but the mat in the base is coping with claws. I did buy an extra mat for when I do a deep clean. The pod unit cleans easily in the bath using the shower head. A quick wipe with a towel and then left to properly dry. Comes apart and back together simply and there are plenty of videos online to help you out. The N50 works really well. I find that it lasts longer than 30 days but I don't have the house overly warm. I think that makes a difference as it is a jelly substance. There is some tracking and, because she digs, quite a bit of litter drops on to the tracking mat I have at the front of it. You can buy a curtain for the door way but what she does kick out is far less than with her old tray so I haven't bothered getting one. It's very quiet in operation, slight noise of the waste falling into the Shute but other than that it sounds like an ocean, just the litter sliding about. It is quite big in order to accommodate the waste basket. My cat uses it once, sometimes twice a night and I find I have to empty the basket every 6 days or so. The app is useful in knowing when that needs to be done and you can set reminders for topping up the litter and replacing the N50. You can buy the deodoriser spray unit for it but I find that the N50 does the job and is less likely to spook my cat. Overall I am very happy with my purchase which was cheaper in the Black Friday event.

The PETKIT Pura Max 2 has been a game-changer for me and my two indoor cats. From the moment I set it up, they took to it instantly, which was a huge relief. Living in a flat, one of my biggest concerns was cat odour, but this litter box has completely resolved that issue. My home stays fresh, and I no longer have to worry about unpleasant smells. One of the best features is the waste disposal system—I only need to change the waste bag every 5 to 6 days. This has made my life so much easier compared to scooping several times a day. The automation and efficiency of the Pura Max 2 have truly improved my daily routine. I also highly recommend the premium package. The included litter mat is very effective at catching litter tracking (I use BioKats Diamond cat litter), helping to keep my floors clean. The smart spray deodoriser also makes a noticeable difference in keeping the litter box smelling fresh. The cleaning process, while initially seeming daunting due to the size of the litter box, turned out to be surprisingly quick and easy. I do a deep clean once a month, and that’s enough to keep the box fresh and hygienic for my kitties. I did run into an issue with Amazon, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to offer much help. However, PETKIT’s customer service was outstanding! They assigned me an appointee who handled my issue seamlessly and efficiently. Their excellent service has only reinforced my confidence in the brand. Overall, I highly recommend the PETKIT Pura Max 2. It keeps my cats happy, my flat odour-free, and my life so much easier. If you’re considering an automatic litter box, this is absolutely worth the investment!

I wasn't sure if this purchase would be worth it, but it was. I've had it a month now and it's made the whole process way easier and less icky. There is an issue with waste smearing on the inside of the drum, so it's not something you will never have to clean and I find that I'm cleaning once a week, but it takes no time at all. Whilst more expensive litter is best (there own brand is excellent, but there are other cheaper options that work just as well) but I've found I'm needing to replace it less often and am it's lasting about three times longer than my old litter in a normal litter tray. Size wise, it is big but not too big. The waste bin is a good size and, with two cats, I'm finding I need to empty it about twice a week. But, that's such an easy process - simply open the drawer, tie up the bag, remove and replace with a new one. Takes minutes and I just take the bag straight out to my outside bin and the job's done. The sensors work well and stop cats getting trapped at any time - though, due to the way it rotates the exit is always available if it did manage to start with them inside, but it won't do that anyway. Fact it weighs the cats means I know who has gone to the toilet and when, with the only issue being that my kitten likes to sit on top whilst my older cat uses it which makes it record a combined weight and I have to manually identify the cat. Overall, it's well designed and it really has made my life better. Is it value for money? Not sure yet, but I am glad I bought it.

I’ve left this a few weeks after purchase to write a review,,, Good points- *no need to mess with the litter and can be left for 2-3 days depending on how many cats you have. *little or no smell *great for multi-cat households, I purchased this as one of my cars refuse to use the same litter tray unless it was clean and would do its business elsewhere, this machine has eliminated this problem for me. *easy to understand how it all works and how to clean it and maintain and the app is easy to use. *better with clumping cat litter, I’ve found the “cats best” brand that clumps is better for the machine *it’s very good at detecting the cat, it weighs them and has a sensor so no fear of the cat being inside when rotating* I’m really glad I did purchase this device even though it was very expensive it’s meant that I can go away and my family that call in to sort the cats haven’t got a lot to do. Bad points *cost - I paid nearly £500 and you need to factor in the running costs of the machine the odour cube only lasts 1 month so needs replacing and they are £30 for 3. I haven’t found any bags that fit the machine yet that are strong enough so will have to repurchase the bags. the cat litter I found that works best is expensive so I wouldn’t recommend purchasing if you are looking for no upkeep costs other than litter. *The bottom tray inside that holds the litter isn’t very scratch proof so my cats have scratched it while burrowing there business and this has led to it leaking wee underneath so smears up the side when its rotating which isn’t nice to clean but until I get a new tray will have to keep cleaning that everyday. * cleaning the whole machine took me approx 2 hours! It’s a maul to take apart and get inside all parts as poo and wee still smears all inside and that’s another bit I didn’t like but better than the cat going elsewhere in the house so win win. I will be keeping the device as I’m happy with it overall.

This was not an impulse purchase - I thought long and hard about whether it was the right thing to do for my cats. I have two young male Siamese cats who I absolutely adore, but one of them had started peeing in inappropriate places (mostly the bed...) and I really didn't know what else to try. After multiple vets visits (no medical cause for the peeing problems found) and trying all sorts of different things e.g. different litters, different types of tray, supplements, feliway diffusers, etc., I wondered whether the problem was to do with sharing trays with his brother. Even though there were 4 trays to use around the house, he just seemed to prefer to pee on the bed which was becoming unbearable. After months of stress and trial and error, I decided to order the Petkit automatic litter tray. My rationale was that perhaps if the pee was instantly cleared away, both cats could use it without the overwhelming smell of another cat's pee. Cats are territorial, after all. The Petkit tray arrived and was easy enough to assemble and link up to the app. My cats very quickly started using it but were a bit spooked by the fully automatic cleaning so I changed it to manual/scheduled. The weight detection is generally very good but it will trigger cleaning even if your cat decides to walk/sit on top of it - in this case, scheduled cleaning is better otherwise the tray will be cleaning itself all the time. Overall I've been really impressed with it. I wasn't quite sure what to expect at first but it cleans the soiled litter away very effectively. However, you do need to use a strong clumping litter for the tray to pick up and dispose of properly. Clumping tofu litter did not work at all, but other clumping litters have been absolutely fine. Changing the bags is straightforward and mess-free. While you can use other bags, the Petkit bags are brilliant and fit the waste container perfectly. Safety wise, the sensors are highly effective and detect when a cat is approaching or inside the tray - it will not trigger a cleaning cycle if a cat is near. There's also a kitten mode which means that cleaning is fully manually controlled, and the tray will only start a cleaning cycle if you trigger it from your app or via the button on the tray. After about 8 months of use, both of my cats happily use the tray multiple times a day. I've had no major issues with it, and when an error occurs the app tells you exactly how to resolve it. It's also great to be able to monitor your cats weight and tray usage even away from home. Most importantly, the inappropriate peeing has completely resolved. I think it was probably down to a combination of things, but the turning point was definitely when the Petkit tray arrived. While there are people who disagree with using automatic trays and accuse you of being a lazy cat parent, I totally disagree - this isn't about being squeamish and not wanting to scoop litter, for me it's about making sure your cats have access to clean litter throughout the day and having the added benefit of being able to monitor their weight and toileting.

I really wanted to like this new litter box however after a month of using it I’ve had to revert back to my old Litter Robot The Petkit litter box kept breaking up the clay or tofu cat litter clumps which means the broken pieces end up mixing in with the clean litter which leads to the entire box being dirty and smelly! And yes, I used the correct filters that were recommended. My cats protested by toileting outside the entrance of the litter box. They were very unhappy. I tried different litter brands and it was still happening Emailed Petkit and they were trying to accuse both of my 10 year old cats of not being toilet trained or needed more time to get used to the new box. No, they have standards and won’t use dirty litter - I don’t think other cats would either I was emptying changing the litter every 2 days which is a waste of money and should not be happening. I do not recommend this litter box to anybody The app features was quite fun but unnecessary It cannot even do the most basic thing required! And that’s CLEAN THE LITTER

I’ve tried almost every single self cleaning litter box and I have to say if the best one. Yes there are some things that others do better but overall this takes the cake. It’s the only one I would actually feel comfortable with when leaving my cat alone for the 15 days most of the boxes claim (capacity). Waste bin is completely closed off, the litter mat is amazing, no more clumping litter stuck and streaking. Also came with 2 rakes, the standard orange with the large holes and a grey version with smaller holes which is what I used for my kitty as he uses the Natusan litter which is extremely small per grain. Also came with the litter scoop to empty/replace the entire litter into the waste bin which I was not expecting as it’s usually sold separately and wasn’t advertised - a nice surprise! Compared to the pura x my cat enjoys this a lot more simply because it’s larger and lower, they could have implemented a odour elimination system better though, there is the petkit pura air which you can buy separately that uses motion to activate an ozone deodoriser at £25, if only this was built into the litter box instead rather than the spray deodoriser which is extremely annoying (i stopped using it). My family and I are extremely sensitive to litter smells and this helped cover most of them up. The n50 gel is fitted into the waste bin to deodorise the waste which it does well. The area of the waste bin is quite large internally due to design so I added a charcoal filter beside the waste bin and a Neutradol gel orb and now there is 0 smell during cleaning and after (it’s cheaper than replacing the n50 and works slightly better too). All in all, it’s expensive but so worth it considering nothing else compares.

Really happy with it so far! I was doubtful we'd keep it since we did not know if the cats take to it well and if the maintenance is worth it. My two cats both use it thankfully and have done so since I got it, I have a big male cat around 6kg and a smaller female around 4kg. The waste bin does fill up rather fast though and I change it after ~5 days with both of them otherwise it starts smelling of course. We use Fukumaru Mixed tofu cat litter for reference. I did a deep clean to check if it leaks at all under the globe (as some people complained about this) and nope, found nothing. I suggest buying the extra bits like bin bags, odour eliminator and air purifier refills from Aliexpress, they're waaay cheaper and genuine from Petkit. Have a spare mat in case you need to wash the current one. Maintenance wise is fine, a deep clean isn't too hard and it's easy to take apart. For most days I just put it in maintenance mode and give it a quick wipe with disinfectant. Have had no issues with it and no errors so far. Very happy to not be scooping daily :)

Mit zwei Katzen im Haushalt war das wohl die beste Investition in diesem Jahr. Hätte ich gewusst wie gut die Katzen-Toilette funktioniert, hätte ich sie bestimmt schon eher gekauft. Sicher - es ist erst einmal eine nicht ganz billige Anschaffung im Vergleich zu normalen Katzentoiletten. Aber es spart mir einiges an Zeit, Katzenstreu und Plastikbeutel. Meine beiden haben sich auch Ruck-Zuck daran gewöhnt. Ich habe die ersten drei Tage auch noch die alte Toilette mit stehen lassen. Ins Pura-Max selber habe ich neues Einstreu mit Benutztem gemischt, damit gleich ein gewohnter Duft im neuen Katzenklo herrscht. Meine zwei zeigen auch keinerlei Scheu wenn die Toilette reinigt. Im Gegenteil - selbst wenn die Öffnung beim Reinigen nach oben steht, wird gleich noch mal hineingesprungen um zu schauen was da passiert. Die Toilette stoppt aber jedes mal zuverlässig durch die eingebauten Sicherheitsmechanismen. Zu Aufbau und Einrichtung: Alles sehr einfach dank der mitgelieferten Schnellstartanleitung Auch die App ist fix mit dem heimischen WLAN und der Toilette verbunden. Zur Nutzung: Ich verwende Betonit Klumpstreu und habe daher das feinere Sieb in der Toilette eingesetzt. Bisher kaufte ich das teure Klumpstreu einer Markenfirma aufgrund der guten Geruchsbindung. Nun kann ich auf ein Streu vom Discounter, was ebenfalls gut klumpt, aber wesentlich günstiger ist, zurückgreifen. Die Toilette reinigt bei mir nach 4 Minuten automatisch und der Auffangbehälter dichtet zuverlässig ab - so das keinerlei Gerüche austreten. Bei zwei Katzen wechsle ich im Augenblick alle 5 Tage den Beutel im Behälter. Ich denke der Platz würde auch für 7 Tage reichen. Die Originalen Beutel haben eine sehr gute Qualität, sind jedoch auch relativ teuer. Hier bin ich umgestiegen auf 25L-Beutel (50x50cm) mit Zugband vom Discounter. Diese passen ebenfalls perfekt und sind wesentlich günstiger. Den mitgelieferten Geruchsvernichter N50 habe ich im Auffangbehälter mit eingesetzt. Das scheint recht gut zu funktionieren. Selbst wenn ich den Behälter mal öffne , kommt mir kein Geruch von Katzenurin oder Kot entgegen. Wiederum den batteriebetriebenen Deodorizer verwende ich nicht. Hier hatte ich Bedenken das dieser Geruch meine zwei vielleicht eher hindert die Toilette zu benutzen. Eigentlich ist es bei automatischer Reinigung meines Erachtens nach auch nicht notwendig. Ich habe das Gerät vorerst nur mit eingesetzt wegen des eingebauten Lichts. Eine gute Funktion, wie ich finde, ist die Waage - so hat man auch gleich immer das Gewicht der Katze im Blick und das Gerät kann dadurch auch unterscheiden welche Katze die Toilette benutzt hat. Das funktioniert bei mir sehr gut, da meine Mila knapp ein Kilo leichter ist als mein Kater Buma. Die App selbst lässt noch sehr viele andere Einstellungen und Auswertungen zu - die Übersetzung ins deutsche ist aber noch ausbaufähig :-) Das Gerät läuft bei mir seit 14 Tagen problemlos, die Reinigung erfolgt perfekt. Die Trommel ist an der Rückwand und im Auslaufkanal immer noch sehr sauber - bislang hat sich da nichts nennenswertes abgesetzt. Das bisschen was war, habe ich bis jetzt einmal mit einem feuchten Reinigungstuch entfernt. Das Gerät arbeitet sehr leise und ist daher auch nachts nicht störend. Die mitgelieferte Matte macht auch einen sehr guten und wertigen Eindruck, jedoch verwende ich sie nicht. Mein Saugroboter mag da nicht gern drüber fahren wollen. Also kurzum - meine zwei und ich sind restlos begeistert. Ein großer Vorteil aus meiner Sicht ist, das ich bei diesem Modell nicht zwingend auf das originale Zubehör angewiesen bin wie es bei manch anderer automatischen Katzentoilette ist. Das senkt deutlich die Folgekosten und schont den Geldbeutel.

Tengo tres gatos que todos han ido siempre al mismo arenero por lo que daba trabajo. Con esta máquina se acabo el trabajar cada día y sobre todo estar pendiente. Limpia todos los residuos muy bien, mantiene el ambiente libre de olores, el sistema de rotar es el mejor, (tuve otro el doble mas barato y fue un fracaso, se rompio en 6 meses y el sistema era un rastrillo que se ensuciaba mucho) y todo se mantiene mas limpio. Estoy usando porque es mucho mejor para absorber los pi pis la arena que son pequeños rulitos, primero la de la misma marca pero no me convencio porque olía un poco rara, ahora pruebo otras marcas, en est maquina es mejor este tipo de arena. La alfombrilla que trae recoge super bien y no macha apenas. El aparato es silencioso en sí, el ruido lo provoca la arena al caer, pero compensa por todo lo demas comprarlo. En 3 meses solo lo he desmontado una vez para limpiarlo y todas las piezas se limpian fenomenal sin esfuerzo alguno. Sin duda alguna lo mejor que tengo para mis gatos y para nuestra comodidad, soy usuaria de esta marca con fuente y comedero y de 10 todo.

Du kan skriva något sånt här: Very disappointed. I paid almost 6000 SEK for this litter box and it has not worked properly since day one. The device refuses to connect to Wi-Fi even after trying all troubleshooting steps and contacting support multiple times. My internet works perfectly with all other devices. For this price, setup should be simple and reliable. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product.
