BM Premium 2-Pack NB-10L Battery & Charger for Canon SX60 HS, SX50 HS

These batteries last a long time! I had to replace the batteries that I had gotten 6 years ago so that says a lot for these batteries. Lasting 60 years. The value can't go wrong. I like personally the plug-in type, old fashioned charging system. It gives you a charger that you plug into the wall. It does take a long time to charge yet it was its first charge so we'll see how it goes on the others. It's very compatible with my SX 50 camera. Generally speaking I would have five batteries and now I'm down to three. They're very portable. You can just slide them in your pocket. They do last a while, especially when brand new and they're quite functional. Better than getting a Canon replacement battery. It works just fine!

The one thing I hate about most new cameras is that they all have their own unique battery, and thus their own unique battery charger. If you own several Canon cameras, as I do, then you also wind up owning several different, but visually similar chargers that you have to store. And you know that you ALWAYS pick up the wrong one the first, or even second or third, time. And woe be unto you should you misplace the charger you need. Which is exactly what I did with the charger for my SX40HS. So I bought this charger (and then of course found the Canon one a week later). Since I had it, though, and since I lost the Canon charger once, I decided to keep it. Then I decided to see if one charger, or one battery, was better than the other. The good news is that the batteries are interchangeable (as you would expect) between the two chargers. Both chargers also took just about the same amount of time to charge the non-Canon batteries. So the charger does what it should, but is no better or worse than the Canon supplied charger. What IS different is the battery life I get with the non-Canon battery versus the Canon battery. This is not scientific by any means, but the new batteries do seem to last significantly longer than my original Canon battery, so that is a big plus for me. However, even if I only got the same battery life out of the non-Canon batteries, having two extra means I get triple the battery life before needing to charge. So far, though, after more than two weeks, and almost 300 pictures, I am still on my first battery, so I am a very happy camper. You can't beat the price, either, so I think this is a five star product.

My Canon batteries were already damaged and swollen, so I decided to buy this kit — and it turned out to be excellent! The charging performance is great, and the connection works perfectly. I’m very satisfied with the quality and results.

If we open up an NB-10L-type battery (not recommended), we find a small circuit board and a pair of series-wired 6mmx30mmx40mm cells. Such cells -- often with '603040' part numbers -- mostly have 600-800mAh capacities, but exist up to 1000mAh claimed capacity. Manufacturers' claims of 1200, 1300, or even 1500mAh capacities don't seem credible, since the battery capacity will be the lesser of the two cells. (Some manufacturers appear to add the capacities of the cells, which is certainly wrong when wired in series; one doubles the voltage (series) or doubles the milliamp-hrs (parallel), but not both. So, one doesn't expect '1200mAh' from the Big Mike battery, and one doesn't get it; it's actually less than Canon's 920mAh battery. I didn't measure it, but I'm guessing around 650mAh, based on relative use time in a Canon SX60HS camera. The Big Mike battery (cells made in Dec. 2021) lasted for over four years, partially cycled a few times per week. That's not bad, but the OEM Canon battery died at about the same time and was made in Dec. 2013 -- lasting about 12 years. On the other hand, Big Mike's version is 'good enough' for many uses, and sells for <$10, instead of $60 for Canon's version; it's not a big deal to carry 2-3 batteries for casual use, though professionals might want to spend the extra money for better, OEM batteries. Personally, I'm replacing my two dead batteries with something in between, like [pro]master (1000mAh) or Digipower (820mAh), in the $20 ballpark... I'll give the Big Mike batteries 4* for providing acceptable quality at a low price; maybe I'd give 5*'s, if they were labeled more accurately. In any case, the charger works and the batteries lasted for several years... Not bad, but I'd prefer something a little better with more accurate specs.

These charge well, and come with the charger. I can use my camera all day.

I really like this product it is easy of use, battery quality looks the same, functionality is perfect, its also really good for travling and can fit easliy into and small area.

These batteries work well in last long enough, as long as the factory Canon ones, and the charger will recharge a battery rapidly. Would buy again

My 8 year old great grandson is extremely interested in photography and has been requesting a “real big boy camera”. I am also an avid photographer so I gifted him one of my older but smaller light weight canons and set it to “auto” for now. He was beyond thrilled. I needed new batteries for it. Since I’ve used these batteries before and was confident they would do the job, I ordered two. They charged up quickly. Definitely recommend them.

I couldn't believe the deal at Amazon compared by the stores. Since my canon sx60 is not very generous with the pictures I can take on one battery charge I wanted a few extra batteries so I can keep shooting. I was pleasantly surprised to also find a car charger in the box which somehow I missed when I ordered it. It means that when we keep charging a battery all the time On the go as well! And it has a European adapter with it. Best value for the money and I am thrilled with it.

Some reviews complained about the battery life. It's not as good as stock but still very decent. Lasted 2 days in my camera.
