Great For SLR and pro quality. The adjustment of the Gitzo ball head is amazing and it stays in place when locked.

If you need flexibility for difficult situations, this is a great choice. The head is a bit different from others, however. When you loosen the locks, the camera feels like it is free in your hands. You have to consciously place it where you want it then tighten the head. It works well, but you need time to get used to it.

Beautifully engineered, silky smooth actions, not cheap but worth every cent. Everything about this head oozes Gitzo quality. Perfect for DLSR with standard lenses or mirrorless systems. The quick release plate is a great improvement over previous models.

This head works very well - I have used it all over the world and it has been great for taking multi shot panoramic images, as well as any shots I need. I love the flexibility that the off-center head gives me.

As always the original Gitzo products are worth the price! Best ball head on the market. Fantastic product that matches well with the Explorer tripod leg sets.
