Whoever said a blunt knife is dangerous underestimated the further danger of sharp ones. Do not let your hand slide forward as it immediately goes onto the blade unlike other knives that I use which have a blunt safety dip to catch the finger. Not well thought out and relegated to be used when nobody else in in the house to prevent pets or people (especially children) suddenly surprising me as a startle response could end badly. You really have to concentrate.

Knives are ok but the stand they are supposed to stay in is split you can't just send the box back and we've thrown all the boxes out Not enough time to be able to return

Good knives apart from the handles. We’ve owned these for less than 4 months, have always avoided washing them in the dishwasher, yet the handle on one knife has splintered. I suspect others will follow hence rating them as 2 stars.

This is a well packed knife set with good protection for the sharp surfaces. All kivees and the block were free of defects and feel like like a high quality set for thr average kitchen. They are not hand forged Japanese knives but the whole set costs less than a hand forged paring knife so don't expect heirloom quality. That said these knive are fantastic and very well priced for their high level of quality when on sale. I have "made do" with a cheap set of department store knives for many years. They were always dull but more or less got the job done. A few weeks ago I volunteered at a food bank kitchen and used a good quality professionally sharpened knife and knew it was time for something better. This set did not disappoint. It is comfortable in the hand has a good weight and feels like a well constructed knife that does not feel flimsy or cheap in any way. I am very happy with my purchase and expect this to be the last knife set I ever have to buy.

First of all, handle with care! These knives are super sharp. BUT, they cut the toughest piece of beef so easily. They look beautiful and are worth the money.
