What is the difference between this strip and Govee ‎‎H61431D1 strip?

The factory in China that Govee sells this product to Govee (Govee puts their name on it, that's all) changed the design to roll with the current times and what hardware is available. This is why you will get an answer from Govee, "Performance Enhancements" or something generic like that. The fact of the matter is Govee doesn't know what changed as Govee is not in charge, just a 3rd party label on this generic Chinese product. Once the factory runs out of supplies on the current model they buy a bunch more which end up a being different of parts so they change the model number and sell that. This is why the model number changes every 6-8 months.

Can the two strips be connected or will they function separately?

This 65ft light comes with one power adapter and two connection ports on the control box for two 32ft reel lights.

Can you control different strips from one app control? Meaning if i put up 3 different sets in my basement, can i control them from the same app?

Yes U can group things, however their isnt an quick option to grab DIY in the group menu. Under the "group" menu that quickly changes things, its limited to color options, timer, brightness, power. So changing a quick "kool" effect for groups on the go cant be done BUT a work around is the "command" menu that lets ya press to set multiple in 1 shot. Inconvenience being having to set up the commands before time.

Is one of the colors a pure white and is it bright?

Yes, this RGBIC pro strip light with ultra light Leds so it will be very bright. But it doesn't have pure white, it can only show a mixture white of RGB.
