Swimming Creatures™ 5 Red Racer Nerite Snail, Freshwater Aquarium Snail Live (Approx. Size: 0.8-1.2 cm)

All arrived alive and healthy. All of them have unique patterns and vibrant colors on their shells. They are all about 1/4"-1/2" width shells. I gave them a marine salt bath to perk them up when they arrived since they prefer salinity and as a precaution to help eliminate the potential for cross contamination, but nothing unusual came off of them in the salt bath. They all started cruising around within 10 minutes of being put in the water and look to be very healthy. It's been about 5 days and they all are doing well. I got them primarily because they eat algae and don't reproduce in fresh water. They do not disappoint! These hungry little hippos are very efficient algae eaters. I wanted the red nerites specifically because of their beautiful shells. The snails were in a baggy with a damp paper towel around them. That was inside a bubble mailer with a cold pack and then that whole thing was inside of the Fedex envelope. They did arrive 2 days before my expected delivery date, which was nice but I was glad I happened to be home when they arrived. Normally I wouldn't have been, and if that were the case they would have been sitting in the sun on the porch all day and likely would not have been in good shape. (it is August and was about 80 degrees the day they arrived). I would suggest considering the weather in your area when ordering, there's only so much the shipper can do. As others have mentioned the seller did include a 6th snail in my order, which was a nice bonus. The price was very reasonable for these snails I feel like. I could have gotten the black Nerites for a dollar or 2 less each at my local pet store but they aren't nearly as pretty.

Arrived a day early, well packaged, step-by-step instructions on how to introduce them into your aquarium and a phone number to contact with any problems or concerns. Received 7 snails, introduced them as instructed around 3pm and they were all active and thriving by 7 am the next morning. They are tiny but they are doing what I bought them to do!

Snails are OK but I ordered these because the description said Red Racers. You'd think with a name like that you'd expect at least one Red one but all that I received was brown snails. I figured that after they acclimated to the tank, they'd change some but still (brown).

They are super beautiful a 9 out of 10, although I must clarify that 3 of them arrived injured from the shell, from there everything is wonderful

They arrived healthy, but the shells were scratched. The pics are great, the actual snails are ok. I would buy locally in the future.

I was very pleased with my snails! I received six all alive and well various sizes as stated in the description! I was very skeptical when I ordered live beings to survive that journey especially in light that they were ordered on sept 11 and didn't arrive till the end of the day on the 17th delivered by FedEx the packaging was excellent bags inside of bags and the paper towel was still quite moist! the colors were beautiful after they were put in a 20gal tank with two others that have been in the tank for at least two years and I'm happy to report that all are doing very well at the time of this review 9-24-2025

I’ll always choose this company to order from because of their DOA guarantee. They’re so easy to work with! Unfortunately 3 of my snails passed in transit and it was simple to get them replaced. Many people are commenting on the small size of the snails, but if you read the description it states that these are little guys. Their color really pops when you get them in your aquarium! Shipping is incredibly fast in my opinion since I’m in South Carolina and they are coming from California. My order always gets here before the expected day.
