Quality item worth having
I guess this is a three item review as these are the three items I chose to update my Trek Navigator 100 with a new wider handlebar. My son says wider bars save life’s and after hitting some debris and loosing control and doing a face plant giving my self a concussion I tend to agree. All three items came with in days of ordering and they all worked well together and as anticipated. The switch over actually only took an hour including test ride and adjustments. The three items were BW 31.8mm MTB Handlebar - 760mm Length x 31.8mm Diameter x 5mm Rise – Blue Sold by: BC_Outdoors, UPANBIKE Road Mountain Bike Bicycle Stem Riser Adapter 1 1/8" φ22.2mm 25.4mm150mm Sold by: Abuyamoy (this was needed to adapt from my threaded front fork to a threadless stem mount), Wake MTB Stem 31.8 110mm 0-60 Degree Adjustable Bike Stem Mountain Bike Stem Short Handlebar Stem for Most Bicycle, Road Bike, MTB, BMX, Fixie Gear, Cycling (Aluminum Alloy, Lightweight, Black) Sold by: HYTE Direct

Perfect update to accept modern bars
Quick replacement for a quill stem, to allow a wider selection of bars in the newer 31.8mm clamp diameter. The stem in the picture is 60mm in length with a 10 degree rise, for trail riding. Upgraded on a 1999 Gary Fisher Wahoo, but will work on any 1 1/8" threaded steerer tube from that era.Machining and finish was excellent on the product I received. Another review mentions a bad angle on the jamb nut. Could have been that one, or maybe a perception caused by the bolt angle variation until inserted. Mine is the same as every quill stem I've ever worked on though. Also, if you've used true threadless headsets, the retaining cap in those has more of a lip to keep the spacers tight. The cap on this design is flush. Not an issue for me as the stem is the top of my stack.

Very tight fit, but seems sturdy and of decent quality.
Ordered the 25.4mm insertion diameter size to fit into my son's 25.4mm ID quill fork. Fit was very tight and I had to use quite a bit of force to insert it to the depth I wanted it. I greased the expansion bolt and inside of the fork steerer tube to [hopefully] prevent seizing down the road. Once in place, the adapter functions as expected and holds the threadless stem without any issues. I got the silver version and the finish has a uniform shot-peen-like finish. Adapter seems sturdy and does not wiggle or twist once installed. The price was right, too.

Manufacturing tolerances are pretty bad
This quill steerer adapter was supposed to be 25.4mm in diameter, it is actually 25.6mm. As a result it is now stuck in my threaded fork and will not come out.The upside is that I am unlikely to want to remove it and it was cheap. However, I would definitely not buy this product again.

Dangerous manufacturing issue!
Looks decent overall, but I have two issues with this adapter: the first issue was my own fault for not realizing that 148mm translates to 6", so it was shorter than I expected. The other issue is not my fault, and could be the reason many people have been having trouble fitting the stem to their bikes: the wedge at the bottom is drilled and tapped/threaded very CROOKED putting the wedge at an angle. It's so far off, you can see it in the picture! This not only makes it difficult to fit to the bike, but it's also extremely dangerous! If you can't tighten this part correctly, it could come loose while you're riding, causing you to crash.

Nice tight fit on an old Trek
Looks cool, makes my old Trek look more like my newer bike. Only negative on this is the top cap doesnt over hang at all so if you plan to use gaskets to make it look like a normal setup, they will slip off. But if you have a spare top cap it will fit on this. I have no concerns of movement or wobble with this, exact fit. I do wish it was a bit higher as its hard to find adjustable stems that are longer to attach to this to make my handlebars higher.

Easy to install, makes for a nice upgrade.
I paired this stem riser adapter with a set of UPANBIKE handlebars, and a wake stem. These parts made for a HUGE difference compared to the stock parts on my cheap Huffy MTB - and updated the look immensely vs. the old quill stem.I was skeptical about the look of the riser adapter, based on the seller's pictures - it looked to be a graphite color rather than black. But the adapter is black, and has a very sturdy feel to it. I had ZERO issues during install, I actually over-tightened the adapter by accident and it held up fine.

Does the trick and allows install of 1 1/8" stem ...
Does the trick and allows install of 1 1/8" stem. Wish it was an inch taller so I could adjust it a bit higher. Difficult to source a 7/8" brake cable hanger to fit around the lower part ( most are 1" or 1 1/8") although not this product's fault, just the reality of vintage bikes.

Converted from threaded to unthreaded handlebar
I wanted to raise my handle bar on a mountain bike for a more erect riding position. Between this stem and an adjustable threadless handlebark stem (the part that holds the handlebar) I gained about 2-3 cm in height. Not as high as I wanted as the stem riser adapter was not much longer than the original stem on my bike once I inserted the new stem to the etched mark for minimum insertion (and maximum extension). The limiting factor too was the length of the cables, I couldn't go much higher tilting the adjustable stem (bought separately) with the handlebars as the cables were at the maximum stretch if I wanted to turn to the left or right. So I gained a few cm of height but still not sitting as erect as I would like for comfortable urban riding.

Warning for bikes with thread-less headset
InstallingUPANBIKE Road Mountain Bike Bicycle Stem Riser Adapter 1 1/8" φ22.2mm 25.4mm*150mmFrom <https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B071J12DXW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1>on my bike with thread-less headset presented some major issues. It requires the removal of the headset adjustment bolt and cap, and the star nut inside the steering tube has to be knocked further down to make room for insertion of the adapter. Without the adjustment bolt, the headset bearings cannot be tightened if they come loose. Also, the original stem cannot be moved up to the new adapter, as the headset will fall apart if the stem bolts are loosened or the stem is moved. I had to remove the adapter again and return the cap onto the fork tube. Since the adjustment bolt couldn't reach the star nut anymore I had to use a woodworking clamp from the bottom of the fork tube to the tube cap at the top. This pushed the stem and spacers down, thereby tightening the headset, so I could then tighten the stem bolts again before removing the clamp. While this worked ok, it isn't as precise as using the adjustment bolt. It might have been possible to use a longer bolt to reach the star nut, if it's not damaged. After reinstalling the adapter, I then had to get another stem to attach to the top of the adapter for the handlebar. So now I have 2 stems on my bike. I mounted a spare handlebar to the bottom stem to use for attachments. It may look funny, but it works.I wouldn't recommend this adapter, if your bike has a thread-less headset unless you're prepared to go through the above procedures and are willing to live with the above results. That said, I don't know of any other way to raise the handlebar, which is what I really needed, so this was an acceptable choice for me.

25.4mm Stem Riser Adapter
It does the job. It is of mediocre quality. Feels cheap and the finish is silver spray paint, NOT a nice machined aluminum finish, like the Profile Design that I originally ordered but it did not fit (mislabelled product).I had to sand down the paint so it would insert as it would bind when only 1 inch into the down-tube...

Hits the mark.
Exactly what I needed to convert my road bike with the one inch quill stem to an “a-head”stem. Everything fits well and seems to be well made. The finish is a bit textured, which works fine for me, but may not be to everyone’s liking. I haven’t fully installed it yet, but it seems like there is only room for one or two spacers, so be aware if you need a lot of height.

Easy to convert to treadless stem
Needed to adapt an older threaded headset to non-threaded and this fit the bill. Works well and easy to install and fit/dimensions were good. Finish is a bit soft and grainy - was expecting a more machined finish.
