This is the good stuff but it’s way over priced. That said, the bag is the perfect size for one or possibly two carnivorous plant terrariums. The bag is sealed similar to a food product, so it was fresh with no bad smells and the quality is excellent. Just what I needed for my Venus fly trap terrarium.

I recently bought a Venus fly trap from a nursery and replanted it using the Organic Earth carnivorous soil mixture a little over a week ago. It’s taken to the soil quite nicely so far. Although I’d like to know the exact percentage of perlite in the mixture as acid-loving carnivorous plants tend to need only about 20% perlite due to its alkaline nature I won’t complain too much about the lack of information given due to the fact that the plant has been growing nicely in it (so I assume the proportions of peat moss to perlite are appropriate). The price is a bit much for a quart bag considering the fact that my smaller flytrap needed a bag and then some. But it is good quality as far as I can tell. I would usually avoid recommending mixes that don’t specify “sphagnum” on the label because some brands use the term “peat” pertaining to moss very loosely but this mixture definitely contains sphagnum peat moss. Overall, it’s a good quality product that I would definitely consider buying again.

I don't know much about soil mix for venus flytraps. I got the plant as a gift, and I didn't want it to die from my inexperience. So I looked for soil specifically made for it and found this one. The soil drains well, and so far, the plant is growing well.
