Face and Body Painting Makeup - 2oz (60ml) Black

My boyfriend and I bought this in the shade Lipstick Red to use to cosplay Millie and Moxxie from Helluva Boss at a con. Previously, we had only ever used Snazzaroo (a water based face paint), but had issues with it coming off with sweat, so we decided to give this a shot. It worked great! The first picture is before the con, and the second is after. We had it on for about 9 hours. - Application: It took us 2-3 coats to get it to look nice and not splotchy, but a little goes a long way with this stuff so it was no problem. We applied it using a foundation brush for the first layer and then a beauty blender for anything past that. Afterwards, we set it with baby powder and it stayed pretty well! I had it on shoulders up (my arms are not painted, those are gloves) and my boyfriend only had it on his face and half of his neck. The only drawback to the application was the smell, but this is an alcohol based paint so it makes sense it would be a sharp scent lol. Just hold your breath when applying it near your nose and close your eyes when applying near there, as it does sting a little. After it dries (which happens really fast), the scent goes away. Also if you have acne, psoriasis, eczema, or anything like that this will burn a little on application because of the alcohol, but that too goes away after it dries. - Durability: As previously stated, we had this stuff on for about 9 hours at a busy con. For reference, my costume was pretty light and I don't sweat much normally, but my boyfriend was in a heavy coat with long sleeves underneath, plus he does sweat a lot normally. As you can see in the second photo, however, it did not come off except in areas where costume pieces were rubbing against it, such as my choker and his wig. This was a huge plus for us! It also did not crease or crack weirdly in smile lines, which was also very nice. - Comfort: There were times I forgot I was wearing it! It's not itchy, heavy, or tight at all. Once dried it has no scent either. - Clean up: Micellar water on a paper towel or a cotton pad worked perfectly to get it off! Makeup wipes work too, but it takes longer and more scrubbing. We just used Micellar water to get the brunt of it off and then hopped in the shower to get rid of the rest with soap and water. - Amount used: We got the 2 oz bottle. Using this bottle we have cosplayed Millie and Moxxie twice, and I cosplayed Millie once on my own. So in total it has covered my face, neck, and shoulders 3 times and my boyfriends face and neck twice, each time being 2-3 coats. I have about a third of the bottle left, so honestly not bad! - Photos: Make sure you set it with something (as mentioned before, we used baby powder)! The first time I used it I forgot, and in all my photos I was very shiny on my forehead, nose, cheekbones, and chin, with the shine reading orange/yellow. Not a good look. As you can see in the attached photos though, if it has been set with something that shine is greatly reduced, and this color definitely reads as red! TDLR: -Pros: Easy to apply, comfortable to wear, lasts a long time, easy to get off afterwards, a little goes a long way, does not crease or sweat off easily -Cons: Alcohol based so it has a sharp smell when wet and may burn at first when applied over acne, psoriasis, or eczema, may have bad orange/yellow shine if not set well

I tried Snazaroo face paint...nope. I tried Mehron body paint...close but not quite. Then I gave this one a shot and it is by far the best! It was the perfect shade I wanted for my She-Hulk cosplay. I don't have an airbrush machine but it goes on perfectly fine with a cheap makeup brush or a regular paintbrush. One or two coats was all I needed, followed it up with Mehron barrier spray once the paint dried (if you can't get the spray, baby powder works fine to set it), and I'm ready to go! It's a little up there in price than I'm used to, but for the quality I feel it is and how long it lasts, it's worth the investment. One bottle lasted me three cosplays when I painted my face, neck, shoulders, chest, forearms and hands. Maybe it's because I'm kind of a short gal... A few tips: 1) ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use makeup primer on every part of yourself you plan to paint. Just like when you apply regular makeup, primer creates a protective layer between your skin and the paint. Plus, it makes it a bit easier to get off later. 2) Use just one solid, even coat on the face to prevent tightness and to emote without peeling or cracking. 3) I used two coats on the hands (front and back) while flexing your fingers so the paint is in all the creases. The barrier spray I mentioned helps prevent paint transfer. I was able to touch merchandise, my phone, eat chips, all kinds of things without it coming off! 4) When using paintbrushes or makeup brushes, get inexpensive ones (e.l.f. for example) because the paint will not fully wash out. Wash them the best you can and you can still reuse them for future paint jobs. Save yourself a few bucks. 5) For the removal process, use a big, disposable exfoliating pad (you'll thank me for that later) to gently scrub it off with bar soap. I used the complimentary hotel bar soap when I found liquid body wash just wasn't cutting it and took waaaay too long to get off. PROS: --long lasting --light feel and barely noticeable (especially on the face) --soft to the touch --durable in terms of movement and facial movement without cracking or peeling --stands up to sweat and Florida heat CONS: --stings when applied near the eyes. But don't worry, that goes away as it dries --takes a while to wash off. My bath water looked like pea soup... For me, this is the best body paint I've found that does everything I need it to. A lot of Halloween fans, convention goers, even other cosplayers have asked me about the paint I used. I highly recommend ProAiir, provided you take precautions and do your research before committing to it. Hopefully my personal experience using it shines some light for anyone else interested in body painting. Happy painting! ^_^

I’ve been using mehron for years and doing SFX for a very long time and decided to try this out due to how many people swear by it. Many said you don’t need an airbrush, but this dries so stupidly fast I strongly suggest using one. I can’t get it to not look streaky at all with sponge or brush application besides on my hands. It does NOT apply to a bald cap with a sponge or a brush. I can’t speak for an airbrush but I had a latex bald cap on and no matter what I did it wouldn’t apply. This stains the nail area, I tried using this for nebula and realized I need a lot more practice or just buy an airbrush machine for best use because honestly I was disappointed with how it applied to my face due to how fast it dries it’s impossible to blend or build evenly My eyes teared up during application and it ran and bled which was super surprising because it says waterproof and others said sweat and tear proof but I’m not sure what was wrong with mine. Like I said, maybe I need more practice but it was not what I expected. At the moment I’m just going to stick with mehron but I’ll keep practicing with this because for almost $30 I’m determined to get it right. In the photo included you can see my hand was blue for nebula which is this paint alone! My head I ended up going over with mehron sky blue because I couldn’t blend this color but it’s also good to know sky blue is very similar to this color too! I also purchased the purple and black. Black was perfect beyond belief for my eyebrows and my detail lines exactly what I needed it to, didn’t budge. The purple however was the worst of the bunch, it has a big pink undertone and requires many layers but as stated above I can’t work with this very well currently making purple impossible for me to use. I used mehron instead Overall: if you have the time to experiment, money to risk, tools to perfect yes I suggest this. But if you don’t, keep looking

Highly recommend I used for renfest and cosplay to black out my neck and draw on some "war paint" vibes Can also work for tactical costumes Very easy to use and easy to remove but doesn't randomly come off during the day unless you're trying to remove it

I am a Master body painter and proaiir is my paint of choice. I usually order paint in bulk but with busy holiday it was great to get Amazon order super fast

My husband went as hulk for Halloween, this paint definitely did its job. One bottle got his face, neck and arms covered. The second bottle for his legs. We used large orange painters sponges to sponge all over him and it worked perfectly. I will say they are very porous so I’m sure they absorbed more paint than say a beauty blender but we needed to cover a large surface area. I rushed home from work and was running late so we applied it very fast, covered him in maybe 10 minutes. Again, probably wasted some so maybe one bottle would have worked but honestly It was so quick and spreadable, we were happy with it. We only did one layer and loved the result - I do want to note my husband has 2 full arm sleeves of tattoos that with one coat were fully covered. Great product for quick and spreadable application. As far as removal, we spent 45 minutes scrubbing with oil, then soap, then micellar water. I’m pretty sure we removed a layer of skin. As you can see in the 3rd picture it’s still not fully removed so we’re gonna try again tonight. So easy to apply, hard to remove. We’re also not experts so we’re just trying whatever we have. Micellar water seemed to work best but is the hardest to get large areas with.

Amazing product

It glows so so well! I used it for a haunted house I did. We saw over 1,000 people in 2 nights! It lasted the entire time I had it on from like 3 pm to midnight with jumping around, lunches, other makeup on it, and more! No dripping, smearing, or anything. Take it off with Micellar water. I actually recommend buying a big bottle of it. Comes off super easy with that. Dries super fast! This is going to be my go-to for as long as I do this!
