Varathane 368035-4PK Less Mess Wood Stain and Applicator, 4 oz, Golden Oak, 4 Pack

I stained shelves for my living room and it was easy to use. Looks great and minimal smell. I used it in my kitchen.

It is easy to store and works awesomely. Will buy some other colors. Dries quickly.

This seems like a quality formulation, though not one-coat at all (are they ever??). It ended up not being suitable, as I couldn't fit the end into the boxy corners of my project well enough. I had to get a can and some foam brushes for that.

I thought the product was great. My only issue is the applicator will tear apart before you’re done using it that needs to be more durable but the stain is amazing. Very happy with it but just wish that the spongy applicator part lasted as long as the bottle does.

Very user friendly, great for small projects. I used it to stain a transition strip. Applied two coats and coverage/color was nice. Easy to use and very minimal clean up.

The sponge is falling apart with basic use and the stain doesn’t dispense well. I had ordered this to color long wood dowel for a Halloween costume. Realized I couldn’t find it until I did actually later realize it wasn’t in the box anyhow just re-ordered. Came this week. also all these pieces that came out of the sponge in the middle stuck to what what I was trying to stain. Did start a return on it I just have to drop it off.whole experience was very disappointing but at this point I’m just going to let that part of the costume piece of standard because I don’t choose to rush around at the last minute to buy more stain and apply it by brush

Easy to use.. no mess. I like the transparency of this stain. Many colors available. Goes a long way.

This is the best product I've used for small areas, was able to get into corners and keep the stain were I wanted it. Wish this was out when I was a painter!

This stain is very easy to use and true to colour! Used this on untreated wood coasters to give it a more “antique” look prior to adding family photos onto them and they turned out better than I expected. I do suggest doing this in an open space such as a backyard or patio as there is a slight odour to it that lingers.10/10 would recommend!

It was a good match, and remarkably improved the chips in the coffee and end tables. Not absolutely perfect, but much better! Easy to apply.

Love it! Works out great. So easy to use.

Get a vice grip to squeeze this stuff out. It comes out unevenly, and in general makes me wish I had gone with the can and brush: easier to use, more uniform application.
