It works, but please read
I noticed there aren't any reviews yet for this hat clip mount. I have a chest mount solution but wanted something that was easy to just clip on and go. I saw this and decided to check it out. I gave it 4 stars because of all the cons, below.Pros:- Easy to clip on and use for quick video- The clip (with phone) is sturdy and stays on the hatCons:- The phone mount does NOT rotate (despite what they told me) so if you plan to use this for vertical video for Instagram Stories or Snapchat, you will have to replace the phone mount with a different one. I used a GoPro tripod mount https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZYKXYQK/ along with this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EYFV6FY/ Ulanzi Phone Tripod Mount which gives you the best of both worlds... being able to record in portrait/vertical OR landscape/horizontal (something this product should have implemented).- Between the clip and your phone, it's quite heavy. You will need to wear a VERY snug hat. I found a tight fitted hat works best. It will force the brim of your hat to droop down onto your forehead quite a bit, and the brim will press into your forehead. So for extended use, this isn't a good solution. If you just want to knock out a quick video then it is fine. Otherwise you're bound to get a headache.- While they included some cards to promote themselves, they did not include any installation information on how to put it together, leaving you to refer to Amazon photos to figure it out.

Works, but very heavy with a large iphone
This may be moot now, since the item appears to be unavailable, and is not featured on the manufacturer's website, but overall the hat mount works OK and is as advertised with one major caveat; a caveat that most likely applies to all of the hat mounts for iphones. The weight of a large iphone, such as my 6 plus, is quite significant, to the point that this would work better clipped to the brim of a baseball batting helmet! The weight pulls a normal baseball cap down quite strongly, and unless the cap is quite snug it may fall forward right off your head. My own planned use, which will feature an aviation headphone over the had, will probably stabilize the overall assembly satisfactorily; but if you plan to have nothing other than the cap and the phone on your head, I would suggest using one of the smaller iphones, and definitely without the heavy case or skin (whatever you choose to call it!)In addition, you will have to learn to limit your head movements considerably, since the camera tracks your every move. That is, no doubt, an acquired skill, and can be learned; thus not likely to be a deal breaker. One thing is certain - the Go Pro's and their imitators are a great deal smaller and lighter than any iphone rig you can dream up. But of course they subtract several hundred dollars from your balance, and the phones can indeed take video that is as good as or better, so decide where the balance lies on that basis!

Solid clip and mount, but instructions would be nice...
With most modern phones, the weight on the bill of your hat would be noticeable. Making sure to have a snug hat is required. There were no instructions on how to properly moung this clip, so this lead me to try different methods.I attached some photos of how this works for me now.

Easy to use
This iphone action mount is exactly what I was looking for. It was easy to assemble and allows me to clip it to any of my hats. The mount is also adjustable so I can angle the camera just right to capture the action.
