PURE. WELL BALANCED. DELICIOUS.
I am a tropical fruit aficionado and, having traveled many times to Costa Rica -- the land of "Pura Vida" -- I knew I had to try this product. (In actuality, this is the second bottle of Jungle Pulp I have sampled, the first one being its mango puree offering.) 1- The aroma and fragrance are evident upon opening the attractive packaging. The taste is natural, sweet, well-balanced, and devoid of that artifical edge some purees out there that claim to be tropical always have. 2- The tart-to-sweetness-to-acidity ratio is satisfying and consistent with what would be expected from gourmet product sourced from Costa Rica's world-class fruit farms. 3- You can use this pulp for endless purposes, all a mere Google search away. Our family consumes it primarily as a "fresco natural" (a water-based drink that can accompany most cuisines) or as "helados" or "paletas" (ice pops). 4- When I tried the mango, I loved the thickness; it took me back to mango trees that grow out there. Very authentic. 5- I made a Margarita with it and it beats any mixer out there even though it is only a puree. Highly recommend. Look forward to trying other flavors. Enjoy!

passion fruit puree for CIHUCCOATL
CIHUACOATL โthe snake womanโ โข 5 INGREDIENTS FOR THE VERDITA BASE โข 1 cup passionfruit juice โข 1/3 cup loosely packed cilantro leaves โข 1 fresh serrano, stem and seeds removed FOR A SINGLE COCKTAIL โข 2 ounces mezcal โข 2 ounces verdita base โข 1/2 ounce lime juice โข 1/2 ounce simple syrup INSTRUCTIONS To make the verdita base add the passionfruit juice, cilantro and serrano to a blender jar and blend until smooth. Strain into a small pitcher or large measuring cup. This is enough base for 5 to 6 cocktails. To make a single cocktail, measure 2 ounces of the verdita base into a shaker filled with ice. Add the mezcal, lime juice and simple syrup. Shake for 10 seconds, then strain into a glass with fresh ice and sided with black lava salt.

Disappointed. Too sweet
I was hoping this would be more sour like the fruit. Itโs very sweet.

Delicious & Delightful!
Love this stuff! I mix w/water for drinking, but my favorite thing is to freeze in little cubes in a silicone tray to nibble frozen or add to smoothies ๐

Very Disappointed
Terrible taste!. Like chemicals, biter,acidic...nothing like sweet flavorful passion fruit (lilikoi). Not worth the very expensive price!

too runny
i thought this was going to be more of a passion fruit pulp or puree, but it's too runny/liquidy to use in my recipe. It's probably good for a drink blend. It doesn't have the black seeds that make it iconic passion fruit.

Perfect for cocktails or ice cream topping
This is very tasty without being cloyingly sweet. Originally purchased it for a cocktail recipe, for which it was perfect. But found that it also is great to pour over vanilla ice cream.

Grossly adulterated. Ruined by process and sugar.
1. This is not a puree. There is no pulp whatsoever. 2. There are no (ground) seeds, either, which are essential to the passion fruit experience. 3. This SYRUP (which is what it actually is) is horribly over-sweetened. Passion fruit needs NO SWEETENER! The sugar they add ruins it. 4. The ingredient list describes "water" as the second ingredient. This can only mean that this so-called "puree" is actually a reconstituted concentrate. 5. The best thing about passion fruit is the super-tart acidity -- which this product is sorely lacking (even if you can look bast the sickly sweetness that the added sugar creates).
