If you are doing lots of cuts it certainly saves your arms a little, it comes into its own when a pipe is hard to reach nevermind get purchase to use a normal pipe cutter. I've yet to try change the cutting wheel which isn't easy with normal cutters so we will see how this lasts. 4 stars until I have to change the wheel.

If you've got pipes which are tight to the wall or each other and don't afford you room to spin a regular pipe slice around the pipe, then this is your solution. As long as you can fit this around the pile and have a small bit of wiggle room, the outer shell ratchets an inner cutter around the pipe for you. I haven't found it to slip and the cut has a nicely rounded edge. At times you may need a bit of strength in your fingers if it's a tight fit but otherwise just be warned that once you get it on the pipe and that outer shell moves even a fraction, you won't be changing your mind about where you are cutting.
