Ruti does a great job starting out very basic. This book has wonderful sentence building skills, by the end of the book you feel very accomplished. I learned many things in how to speak Hebrew from this book along with great everyday vocabulary. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning how to read or speak Hebrew!

I'm a big fan of Ruti Yudovich's approach to learning Hebrew. She has the unique ability to inspire conversational confidence while building a solid understanding of WHY certain grammatical structures appear without making things too complicated for the beginning students. Vocabulary and verb usage builds and expands in this edition. Absolutely LOVE all of her books and am immensely grateful for her contributions to my own dream of learning Modern Hebrew fluently. Can't give her books enough praise or recommend them highly enough!

THis book is a must!Ruti Yudovich did it again. A wonderful continuation to Speak Hebrew For Real, Primer. Clear explanations on ANYTHING new that one is learning. I finally understand the genders of nouns, pronouns, adjectives and verbs. How to conjugate pronouns that join prepositions - something that is very unique to Hebrew. Ms. Yudovich brilliance is that she concentrates on points that are unique to Hebrew and let us, the English speaking people deal with points that identical in both languages. She does not waste time teaching long lists of vocabulary. Anyone can find any word he wishes to know on the internet. But how to use certain words, expression, idioms correctly is what a foreign language student needs and Ms Yudovich supplies it with clarity and a correct pace. The book has ample exercises and of course answers for you to find out if you really GOT it. It also consists of a wonderful resource section at the end of the book: Hebrew-English and English-Hebrew Words lists, and glossary with grammar terms that are defined in a simplistic and easy to grasp way so that anyone that ever feared or hated grammar find it surprisingly easy and fun. I highly recommend this seried.

Ruti Yudovich has written another book in her Hebrew learning series. The newest book expands on the previous books giving the student an even broader range of knowledge of modern Hebrew language. It is recommended to begin with the first book then progress to the current book.Though classroom teaching and learning is a great way to learn Hebrew, the traditional method is not always accessible due to time constraints, distance to classes or the availability of Hebrew classes in your area. There are many excellent books, audio recordings and videos that teach elements of Hebrew language, however, Ruti’s book series differs in that it is completely self teaching.Now, with Ruti’s book series you can learn Hebrew on your own and in your own time. Speak Hebrew for real Beginner consists of exercises in which the student can practice previously learned material. As always, there are also grammar lessons that coordinate nicely with the exercises. The student will also begin to learn to read Hebrew without their written vowels (nekoodot).As a former student, I definitely recommend Ruti’s book series to those who want to begin learning Hebrew and as a refresher course for those who have learned in the past but haven’t recently studied the language.Best wishes on your journey to “learn Hebrew for real”.
