My Experience with the Godox AD200 Pro II: A Portable Lighting Marvel
The Godox AD200 Pro II has been a game-changer for my studio setup, offering a perfect mix of portability, power, and accessories. Hereโs what Iโve loved about it: Portability that Inspires Spontaneity As someone who loves street shooting, the compact design of the AD200 Pro II has been a blessing. Itโs lightweight enough to carry around all day without adding bulk to my gear. Whether Iโm capturing a sunset on the beach or a portrait in a cozy cafรฉ, this light fits seamlessly into my workflow. Bright and Reliable Lighting Despite its small size, the AD200 Pro II delivers a surprising amount of power. Hard to believe it has 200w flash built-in. The light is beautifully soft yet punchy, making it perfect for everything from portraits to product shots. Its consistent output gives me peace of mind during shoots, knowing I can depend on it to deliver every time. Rich Accessories for Every Need The range of accessories available for the AD200 Pro II has made it incredibly versatile. From the interchangeable flash heads to various modifiers, Iโve been able to adapt it to virtually any shooting scenario. The inclusion of a carry case is another thoughtful touch that makes transporting and organizing everything a breeze. If youโre looking for a portable, reliable, and well-equipped lighting solution, the Godox AD200 Pro II is hard to beat. Itโs made my on-the-go shoots simpler and more efficient, and I canโt imagine being without it now. Highly recommend!

Great Improvement
I've been with Godox since 2018 when I first purchased my first AD200 and they have been great products ever since. Whether pairing two AD200s with an AD-B2, using a single V865 flash, or setting up multiple lights, Godox will always have you covered, in studio or on location. The AD200 Pro II is a great upgrade to the line and having the full color screen was the first thing I noticed. Not only is it easier to see it in dark locations, it also can be seen from further away. Having side lights that tell you what group the light is in is an addition as well. When doing studio sessions, there are times I need a modeling light so I can see in darker settings to get focus, and the two new heads that ship with the AD200 Pro II are perfect for that. They are bi-color and dimmable, which is a great feature. Speaking of the heads for the AD200 Pro II, you can use the heads that worked with the original and Pro models like the H200R round flash head, R200 Macro Ring flash head, and even the fresnel and bulb heads from the original AD200s. Utilizing the EC200 flash extension is also great for getting the AD200 Pro II lower on your stand while the head and modifier are up high. *Please note that I don't know if you can use the new heads on the older units, and I didn't want to risk that. Same with the batteries. Another nice feature is the pairing with the X3 trigger. Now you can easily connect them together if you need to scan for a new channel to use, just by putting the AD200 Pro II into Wireless Sync mode. Both the X3 and the AD200 Pro II are capable of going down to 1/512th power, which is a huge improvement so you can now just get that little touch of light on your subject. The original AD200 was able to go to 1/128th power, while the AD200 Pro went another stop to 1/256th power, but 1/512th power is pretty significant when you don't need too much light. I am really happy with this upgrade and hope to get more so I can take advantage of the above mentioned upgrades, along with the AD600 Pro II. When compared to the AD200 Pro, it's only $50 more and the features you get for that are well worth the price.

Godox AD200 Pro II: A Powerful Portable Lighting Solution
I've been using the Godox AD200 Pro II for a couple of weeks now, and I'm seriously impressed. This little light packs a punch! It's incredibly portable, lightweight (in its class), and powerful enough to handle most shooting scenarios. What I love: User-Friendly: The new interface is a breeze to navigate. The color screen is super clear, even in bright sunlight, and the LED indicators make it easy to adjust settings on the fly. Powerful Performance: Don't let its size fool you. This thing can crank out some serious light. The battery life is pretty impressive too, so I can shoot for hours without worrying about running out of juice. Versatile Accessory Compatibility: The AD200 Pro II plays well with a variety of accessories, like softboxes, beauty dishes, and reflectors. This gives me endless creative possibilities. Durable Build: It feels solid and well-built, and it can handle the rigors of everyday use. The Pro II is a significant upgrade over its predecessor. The new model boasts a much brighter and clearer screen, making it super easy to navigate settings, even in bright sunlight. In terms of power and performance, the Pro II is a powerhouse. It has faster recycle time and improved cooling system means I can shoot for longer without worrying about overheating. The Mark I, while still a capable light, can struggle with longer shoots. One of the standout features of the Pro II is its LED indicators. They make it a breeze to check settings at a glance, especially in low-light conditions. The external power port is another handy addition, perfect for studio setups. The Mark I lacks these features, making it less convenient to use. Another thing I really appreciate about the Pro II is the included charger. It's much more compact than the previous version and uses a usb-c port. This is very convenient when traveling. Speaking of which, the box is really nice for traveling too!

Great Flash for Family and Newborn Photography
Iโm a children and family photographer who has primarily worked with natural light for outdoor sessions. Occasionally, Iโve used the Godox TT350 flash in backlit situations or when indoor lighting was insufficient, and it worked very well for me. Recently, I decided to set up a studio in my basement for newborn photography and purchased the Godox AD200Pro2. Initially, I was considering the AD300, but after comparing the two, I realized that the AD200Pro2 could fully meet my needs. After using it for a few weeks, Iโm absolutely in love with it! The price is very affordable, and the compact size makes it perfect for a small studio or for on-the-go shoots. It comes with a convenient carrying case, and the user interface is simple and straightforward, making it easy to adjust settings even during a session. The Pro mode ensures accurate and stable color temperature, which is essential for capturing delicate skin tones in newborns and children. The built-in Godox 2.4G wireless system integrates seamlessly with other Godox flashes and triggers, allowing for effortless multi-light setups. Overall, the Godox AD200Pro2 is an incredible flash for its price, offering excellent performance and versatility. Itโs a fantastic choice for photographers looking to take their indoor photography to the next level. Highly recommended!

Best portable studio lighting beast!
A really powerful portable flashlight. Good is always my first choice when I need a light for some beautiful shots. I had the ad200 pro first gen before and this second gen just push it to another level. The naked bulb now also has modeling light and this modeling light is way brighter than the last generation. Also the straight bulb head has a fan so you can flash it without over heating issue. Newly added color temp priority mode is really useful if you want your photo color balanced and accurate. And finally we got a usb-c charger in the box so we can charge it on the go. this moonlight also has a wireless syncing function that works with all godox flashlights and transmitters with wireless function. You can also trigger it with any or your speed lights no matter which brand it is with the light syncing mode. So you can add this powerful light to any of your existing lighting system. Iโm really satisfied with this small but powerful light. With the size of a normal 76ws speedlight it give you more than double the power which is 200ws. Enough to take it outdoor for a sunny day photoshoot. And the recycling time is amazing too, itโs always ready when you need it. The battery life is good enough for a full session, it gives you more than 500 full power flashes, which in real life you may never need the full power, so maybe after your photoshoot there is still more than half juice in the battery.

GREAT strobe for real estate
I primarily use the Godox AD200 Pro II for real estate Flambient photography, though Iโve also employed it as a key light for portrait work. For real estate shots, I find the barebulb setup delivers the most natural and even lighting. The controls are intuitive and easy to navigate, making adjustments quick and straightforward. The unit pairs seamlessly with ProPhoto triggers โ I havenโt tested it with Godox triggers yet, but it seems highly compatible with standard wireless systems. One minor improvement Iโd like to see is a dedicated spot to attach a shoulder strap, as many photographers use this flash handheld during real estate shoots. Overall, the AD200 Pro II comes very well packaged in a zippered case that provides excellent protection. With 500 full-power flashes, 0.01โ1.8s recycling, and a 2900mAh battery, it seems to last forever and recycles super quick. Highly recommended for both real estate and portrait photographers.

Excited to upgrade to AD Pro200 II!
I am a loyal customer of Godox, since their stuff is good quality and not expensive. I was excited to upgrade to the AD200 Pro II this Thanksgiving, and it's definitely a great addition to my lighting gear. First, this new AD200 Pro II is portable, but it's very powerful too. It has two different heads โ one for a normal flash and one for soft light with a better cooling system. It also has a bi-color modeling lamp that allows users to adjust both the brightness and color temperature, offering more control in creating ambient light or adjusting for specific lighting conditions. Godox also made the screen better and easy to see. The menus are easy to understand, with multiple new language support options. Even with many features, it's simple to use. It feels strong and like it's good quality. The battery is also long-lasting, making it easy to use for photography daily.

Second Time Was the Charm, Amazing Piece of Equipment
PRODUCT - 10 out of 5 stars. (The flash itself is amazing) TRANSACTION - 2 out of 5 stars. (The first one arrived broken, grrrr) I am a professional wedding photographer and ordered this last minute because another piece of gear was not working properly and I needed it for an event. It arrived fast but despite having a "Quality Control Passed" sticker inside the package, I turned the flash on and while everything else worked, the flash would not fire. I switched the head, thinking maybe just the one flash was broken. Nope. No luck. I contacted Amazon support, tried to reach GoDox support, and emailed the seller. The piece was faulty and they would need to send me a new one. While they did address the problem right away, the fact that no one took the time to actually turn the first flash on and make sure it worked was extremely annoying and has wasted so much of my time. Point of that part of the story? - If you're ordering in a hurry for a critical job, you might need to order two at the same time, then send the extra one back once you know it works. With the TRANSACTIONAL part of the story out of the way, I WILL say that the flash itself is AMAZING. This thing is so powerful, recycles super fast, and is very easy to control with the wireless trigger. I work in a destination market so we are constantly in bright sun. I'm able to easy overpower the sun with this and get amazing sunset portraits. I can set this on a light stand across the reception and get really dynamic back-lighting during the dancing. I have the GoDox V1 as well, and while I do love that flash also, this one takes the cake in terms of sheer power and versatility. If you need studio-level power with the compact and portable quality of a Speedlight, this is IT!

Wow!
I bought this small studio strobe on a whim, I admit... especially with these extra accessories. However, it was an impulse purchase that I really do not regret ! This Godox AD-200 Pro, a 200 Watt studio strobe, is worth every euro cent. The two included flash heads, a fresnel and a bare bulb head, are very complementary. The modeling light of the fresnel head is ok, especially when compared to the modeling light of my 2 Godox V-860iiiC speedlites which have a modeling light on the flash body, not on the head - which makes it useless if you're using a reflective or shoot-through umbrella, or a Bowens mount softbox. For this reason I also invested in the Godox H200R Round head. It has a modeling light with three intensities, as opposed to the fresnel head's modeling light which is only on or off... Besides, there are some nice accessories to the H200R round head, such as the Godox AK-R1 round head accessories. In the AD-200 pro kit I bought was also included the AD-S2 standard reflector, and to go with that I also bought the AD-S11 grid + 4 color gel kit. That's what IMO makes this studio strobe so worthwhile: its expandability. Having owned - and used it quite extensively- for about 3 weeks now, the battery still hasn't lost any of its power indicators. Amazing, as I use a light meter (Sekonic FlashMate L-308X) and using that always triggers some extra flashes. To cut a long story short: this piece of gear will not be a disappointment ! Enjoy....

Compact, sturdy and high quality light output.
I loved using these for my small studio and when on location rather than mains powered lights. I bought extra batteries just incase but I was shooting headshots for 3 hours and there were no issues at all. I would recommend, although I do think they could be priced a bit better.
