whats the plastic holder for? I want this for my small journal that has a loop for a pen, would this work?

OK, what they're calling a "holder" is actually a piece of plastic about the size of a credit card with a sleeve along one side in which the pen fits. I guess you put the card part between pages of a book to hold the pen there? I don't know, it doesn't seem very useful to me. As for the loop on your journal: How small are we talkin'? Because this pen is tiny. TI-NY. It is the approximate length (maybe 3") and diameter of a wooden cocktail pick. I'm not kidding. It's very small and difficult to write with - and I have small hands! As such, I can't imagine it holds enough ink to write very much. When I bought it, I was looking for something with a super-fine point that was not a gel pen, but this is actually just a super-tiny pen in all respects but was not enough of an expenditure to return it.
