These swaps were exactly what I needed to apply iodine on several wounds. They are the same ones that medical professionals use. They are large with a wooden handle and can be used when ever you need a large swap for cleaning things like guns, detailing your car, applying medicine, etc. The tip is very soft and the handle is strong. Excellent value for your money.

Ordered wrong size, but very useful. I have used these cotton swabs for cleaning oven door crevasses and small spaces. Also useful for cleaning guns. I also used it to clean my dog's ears.

The tips are big and solid, not tiny and squishy like q-tips. The long sticks help reach inside deep holes when needed. As noted by others the sticks can be broken but are NOT fragile and included is a tube that goes over the sticks if you need to really push hard on them. I cleaned my whole keyboard not using the tube and only once did I break one and I was scrubbing on some sticky drippings when that happened. You get 4 big packs so you can have one in the basement, garage, and 2 more places and never run out. Very much worth the price.

They work well for lighter jobs, but the sticks break easily if you need to apply pressure.

This is by far a much better value than purchasing the Petsmile pet Toothpaste applicator swabs for I believe $34 for 50 and these applicators are $15 for 400. I have been using the Canadian developed Petsmile Pet Toothpaste for my dog for the last four years. If you get your dog's teeth cleaned and the next day put a dab of this toothpaste on both sides of his/her back upper moulders, the teeth will stay clean for up to two years. You raise the lip and using the long stem of the applicator apply a dab as instructed. No chance to get accidentally bitten or come in contact with your pet's saliva. The head of this swab is much bigger than the Petsmile applicator, but you are in charge of how much is being put on the swab. They come in plastic bags of 100 and you can transfer them into a smaller container as required maintaining the freshness of the remaining purchased quantity. I am a consumer with no affiliations whatsoever to any of these parties - just passing along a good deal!
