Heavy Duty Quick Change Ratchet Crimping Tool Kit for Coaxial Cable With Crimper Cutter Stripper and 4 Die Sets

This kit works great for my needs. Crimper lines up perfectly and puts on a nice crimp. Using it for RG8x cable. Cutter does a nice job once I figured it out. Instructions slightly lacking. They do not tell you that the cutter has two blades and that the blades cut depth is set with an Allen screw on bottom of each blade. First blade depth had to be slightly adjusted so as to not cut the ground shield. The other blade was not cutting at all and had to set it. I initially did not see it as these old eyes ain't as good as they use to be. For my cable, I set the height of the second blade to the top of the half round notch in the first blade. The first blade cuts the jacket only and the other cuts down to bare wire. This gives you the proper distance for the ground shield to the bare wire. Also, make sure the start of the cut is at the length of the connector so that the bare wire will just exit the positive male post on the connector and make for easy soldering. Tin the bare wire first before inserting into post. Does make nice solid connectors. Fast shipment of item. Very happy with purchase.

This is a good kit. I have been a technician for over 30 years and these work as good as any I have purchased, including ones at much higher cost.

This is a good crimper for coax connectors. The coax cutter works good. The crimper does take some force to use. The coax cutter takes surprisingly little pressure to cut through RG8 coax. The coax stripper/prep tool, as other reviews have said, is trash - that part worked for two ends. I was not surprised and I had already figured that into my purchase. I do recommend this product if you are looking for a good crimper and coax cutter, those two items work really well.

Makes great crimps! Good range of crimp sizes, and all of the sizes are nicely labeled on the dies. The crimper's ratcheting action is nice and solid. Overall, feels like a quality tool, and has worked well for me so far on RG-58, LMR-240, and LMR-400.

I found the kit very easy to use for attaching coax connectors, with no previous experience. Youtube videos helpful to learn the process. Some soldering skills required, although not difficult.

Received it on time and did the job.

It was exactly what my husband was looking for and better quality than he thought it would be.
