V-TOP Tub Stopper 2 Pack, 6 inches Large Silicone Drain Plug Hair Stopper Flat Suction Cover for Kitchen Bathroom and Laundry (White)

Purchased these to cover a basement back flow floor drain as well as the floor drain in a shower in the lower level of a four level split. After a recent flood where we encountered back flow water from the shower pan and other fixtures we decided to get back flow valves placed in line for the various plumbing fixtures in the lower two levels. However, our shower drain also has a drain for the HVAC connected into it and when the condenser drains the sounds come through the shower drain. We got this set to firstly add another level of protection to both floor drains, and secondly to attempt to suppress the sounds in the drain pipes. I hope we never find out it they worked for the back-flow aids, because I do not want to go through that again, BUT it does keep the sounds to a minimum from the drain which is mainly what we were hoping to achieve. The silicone is a decent thickness and stays in place very well. They were a bit pricey in comparison to the previous rubber one we had but.... a better quality item.
