It found studs and electrical cables as it claims, cheap and cheerful but works as intended.

Easy to use. Just insert the batteries and away you go. Very precise piece of kit that as helped to ensure no pipes or other items behind the wall is disturbed by drilling etc. Highly recommended.

It beeps and it displays stuff but i never found it to be very accurate. i never really knew where the joists were in which to drill into. one pass showed one thing, going over it again showed something different. Could be user error, could be the unit but i returned it as it didn't help me find parts of my wall to drill into with confidence. Nice bright screen though and i'm sure if it worked for me it would have been a handy tool to have around.

Using this machine left me no wiser in knowing where electric cables or stud joists were in my walls. Inconsistent bleeps were never in the same area with repeated hovering - even around plug sockets where I knew cables were! Gutted I forgot about it and left too late to return it.

At first my husband thought it worked on him but it seems it just detected his belt buckle much to his dismay. Built a wall and found my friend who made holes in her ceiling prior to this had electricity running through so we gave them a wee check and has it seems protected me from becoming a widow... few more years for that life insurance to tot up .. or would have given him one hell of a haircut, but works a treat. Very well made and easy to use. Tidy little one that is easy to store too. Works well with metal and wires and esp detecting electricity wires, not so much at building your husbands self confidence as a 'stud'

This thing was a lot cooler than I thought. It finds every stud, whether it's metal woodnare concrete?It also tells you if there's wires or anything blocking the stud?Which is really nice it's a great value for the money you spend very easy to use.I use it every time I want to do something with mounting any sort of product on my walls and it is a 100% accurate. It finds every part of the stud, whether it's the end or the middle, and I find the versatility of the functions.Amazing.
