It tastes less dark than it looks which is a benefit for me as I am trying to find a lighter decaf roast. It plays well when used to make personal half caff mixes with things like Starbucks Sunsera and Veranda. I would say if anything it is very "inoffensive" in flavors? There's very little of anything beyond what I would call "coffee." There's no particular standout sweetness, nuttiness or anything to it. I am surprised by this given how visibly dark it is compared to another decaf roast I have.For the very, very competitive price at 12oz and how fresh the package seems (no roast date but "expiration" is June 2026, so this package might be only a few months old as of September 2025) I think I'd add this in as a tool to make half caff (or perhaps quarter caff or other mix rates) or otherwise if I just want to taste the most inoffensive coffee sometimes.Being whole bean rather than ground makes it even better. Decaf coffee degrades faster due to the way decaf processes require the beans to be "opened up" before they undergo decaf. Good coffee, not to strong in flavor, with a smooth taste. Great coffee for not to strong of caffeine. I like the fact that its fresh beans and we can grind the beans to our consistency. The bean has a nice brown color which indicates well dried. The bean is on the smaller size bean, with an aroma that smells so good. Like i said the bean is on the smaller size. over all the functionality is great for a good cup of coffee.

I do full-caf Columbian in the morning, then mix in Columbian Decaf for some afternoon half-caf.Both beans punch way above their weight. The Regular is just a solid, well-rounded, smooth cup of coffee that won't disappoint. The Decaf doesn't taste like bitter and burnt like most doIt's at Peet's level, just better-priced. Nothing too fancy but won't disappoint. I've had visitors comment that it's good and they're always surprised at what it is.I personally can't do Folgers etc, but then $15+ for a small bag of beans is just asking too much for a daily driver. This is a good place to settle.

Very smooth !! This was purchased for my sister-in-law, who loves good coffee but gets the jitters from caffeine. The only thing I would say is that compared to what I personally prefer (Lavazza gold or La Llave) it just might be too smooth of a flavor, with not much bite.It is a Medium roast, medium brown, Not Acid, No caffeine….. so if you want a super-smooth decaf in a whole bean, this is it, and would have to say that it’s even smoother than Illy, if you can imagine that.

Coffee taste solid. It's okay for drip but doesn't work so well with espresso. Bean is not fresh. But get the job done for morning coffee.

reasonably priced but a little bland

Was skeptical at first. But when I saw I could buy whole bean at the same or less than ground big box stores I tried it. I am very pleased with the aroma and flavor. Nice dry beans. And dry is what you are looking for in a coffee bean. Means that they were cured slow at the right temp so all the oil stays in the bean for fresh good locked in flavor. Those other beans with wet look have been flash dried and all the oil is now on the outside...ruined. Thanks amazon I really enjoy this coffee. It is a treat for a budget family.
