We store them in our refrigerator and then ship them with ice pack. The die off will be extreme without some efforts made. Anything FBA will have extreme die off as it isn't stored in refrigeration and then not shipped with an ice pack or insulated mailer. Either find a seller online that uses ice pack or just buy it local at your store.

Is there guarantee like the product is manufactured no more than 1 month away now? I don't want to buy if it was produced a year ago.

Hi Nancy,The expiration date on the current Lot in stock is May 2018. We sell a lot of this formula in our Retail Store so the dates are always fresh. This formula is recommended by the manufacturer to be refrigerated (zoom into the pictures of the bottle on Amazon) to avoid die off of colonies when in warmer temperatures. Here at Holly Hill Health Foods, we store all refrigerated probiotics in our refrigerators until a Consumer purchases it in our physical retail store or on-line. We charge more to cover the costs of the ice pack, insulated bag, extra shipping weight and 1-3 day USPS Priority Mail. When your package arrives, the ice pack will be melted and the bottle might be warm to the touch. However, the bottle would have been cool for the majority of the shipping time and the insulated/reflective bag will eliminate exposure to extreme heat. We Do Not recommend ordering this Thursday thru Saturday during the summer months. And keep in mind that any Amazon order that states "Shipped by Amazon" means that product is stored in a warehouse with an unknown temperature year round and is not refrigerated. These need to be refrigerated. That is why I won't order them on Amazon; they always come warm with no attempt at insulation or cooling.  You can buy these at Whole Foods or many other healthy grocery stores. I'd toss them after a few days at warm temperatures.
