Could be sturdier - updated review: it is great!!
I just received it so if I remember I will update the review once it is used. According to Stokke's FAQ the improvements "V2 to V3: (1) lighter and smoother packaging to reduce environmental footprint; (2) further improvements to the wheels and wheel structure, with more dampening, for an even smoother and more comfortable ride". Unfortunately, those changes seems to be a downgrade. It feels cheaply made and I'm afraid it will break easily. If we have to replace it due to its "reduced environmental footprint" (fragile) we will just generate more waste if they break, instead of using it with multiple kids. I wish all four wheels would swivel in all directions instead of only the front two. It is certainly a luxury item and if it breaks because it's cheaply made, they won't be getting a repeat purchase. So Stokke, it's best to generate repeat customers for quality instead of losing them. Update: it is a great little item and Iโm glad I got it. Not sure how long I will be able to use as my 2 and half year oldโs feet already touches the ground when riding it so if his feet slips it will stop the ride. Having some of the wheels not swivel enhances the safety. I canโt even imagine how it was to control it when all wheels would turn in every direction. The ride is super smooth. Last but not least, the material special when emptier is loud but it is not that cheap. My son has dragged this around my motherโs house, bashed it through doors and walls and yes something broke inside, obviously, but seems that it will take the beating graciously. I donโt regret buying it as it did help when he was sleeping but if your kid is a little taller it may not be used for too long. Will keep taking on our trips. Worth the money

The best.
While planning a family vacation I searched high and low for ride on suitcases for my 4 and 5 year olds. We tested a bunch of different ones and these are the ones my kids loved the most. My 5 year old scooted his way through all the airports and my 4 year old opted to be pulled. If it wasnโt for these suitcases, I am certain we would have missed our connection in Rome. My kids are too tall to use these as the โbedโ feature on the airplane but they loved having their stuff easily accessible. (stuffies, snacks, switches, headphones) although pricey, I believe they are worth their weight in gold. Highly recommend.

It was good, but didn't last.
We've been on seven trips with this kid's suitcase. At about trip 3, the fabric tabs on the lid pulled off. It's not a big deal as we could still open it. However, we were recently traveling, and the suitcase where the wheels attach cracked and the wheels broke through. My 3-year-old is 30 lbs. He used to pull it only and has only ridden on it for two vacations. I reached out to support but haven't heard back from them despite repeated inquiries. Disappointed all around. Not worth it. I'd suggest another brand of just going with a cheaper suitcase altogether. I saw lots of kids while traveling riding on the cheaper versions without the wheels breaking off.

AFTER 1.5 YRS OF TRAVELING IS IT WORTH IT? MIXED FEELINGS
I have written to Stokke about the problem as it seems to be a weak point in the design. My daughter weighs only abt 25lbs. There is no way it would've cracked because of that. It's a shame that you pay this much and only last a year. Did i get my money's worth? I suppose so. But just wish it would've lasted a heck of a lot longer considering i paid full price for my item. Not on sale or anything. My daughter loved it but now its just wobbling around and not really functional. Trust me, it was a pain to roll it around on the back wheels because the front was broken. we have tried it in American, Spirit, Delta, United planes and it works. She felt comfortable and made the plane ride pleasant for everyone. I hope Stokke can help fix the issue and repair. If not, well.....i'm definitely not going to buy another one. UPDATE 10/14/2022 Emailed stokke about the issue as I was still under warranty and no response. Worth it yes. But just be prepared for a non responsive customer service.

Loved the look but not the function
Bought this suitcase for a trip I was taking alone with my three year old. When it arrived it looked as pictured and the quality seemed good, so I was super excited about it, but I wanted to do a test before committing to it. I needed to make sure it would work with my three year old, so I had him sit on it and pulled him around the house for a bit. The first thing I noticed was that the sides where his feet could rest weren't very wide so he got tired of holding them and would drop his feet (we did this test for maybe two minutes, so imagine going through an airport). Second, when you make a turn your kid has to be paying attention and ready to help or else they will end up on the floor very quickly like mind did (it does not handle sharp or quick turns well). Third, you are pulling a rope so your kid is behind you which means you are constantly looking over your shoulder to check them. For these reasons, I return it and purchased an alternative option. I will say the inside seemed spacious and the size is definitely manageable if you have to carry it for whatever reason. I still really like the design just wish it was a little more sturdy on turns.

Makes moving through the airport easy with a toddler
We purchased the suitcase after seeing one at an airport in Florida. The kid riding it seem to enjoy it a great deal and my granddaughter asked for one. I thought it might be a bit cumbersome, but it actually works well as a carry-on, and works beautifully when moving her through the airport. Her pace is typically a much slower than we like to move through the airport given that sheโs three years old and, sheโs not too thrilled about holding hands all the time, but she loves riding on top of the suitcase and therefore itโs easy to keep track of her and keep her moving along. She had a great deal of fun decorating it with the stickers that come enclosed to make it her own. It holds a fair amount of her necessities for a plane flight. I would highly recommend it to those with a three to perhaps eight-year-old who would like to have their own personalized luggage and who would find riding through the airport exciting!

Great concept, poor quality
SO disappointed that we received what was hopefully just a dud. Given its premium price, we expected a premium product, but was surprised to open up a flimsy suitcase that would not even securely close (see video). We purchased this for a 14-hour trip abroad with our toddler and didnโt realize how much of a dud it was until we were already on the trip. We were able to order a replacement and are hoping that our original will be accepted as a return, though it was used on this one trip. We will provide an update on the quality of the replacement. We are doubtful it will be worth the $200 price tag, but there isnโt a comparable more affordable option on the market. Delta Airlines accepted this toddler bed on board, and often does not accept inflatable options.

Perfect Trip helper
We use this take my daughter doing international trip. This is friendly for a one adult only trip. I donโt have to carry baggage and kids all tighter by my self. And my daughter sleep better on flight, and she enjoy riding on it.
