NOT REAL DUCK TAPE
This is not real duck tape it is barely sticky at all. Real duck tape is difficult to even get some off the roll, the glue is supposed to be thick and when you stick the glue sides together you normally cannot pull it apart. I touched the glue side with clean hands and then it had no stick left. This has got to be counter fit or if this is the real company you deserve to go bankrupt because £16 for 2 rolls of useless tape is not ok, I trusted a well known brand.I have Sellotape that is stronger then this.

Excellent duct tape for packaging
I buy this every year, not for the usual DIY jobs it is designed for, but for packaging gifts that I have to post. Many of my friends and family live abroad, and soy parcels need to arrive in one piece having travelled thousands of mils through multiple couriers, plains trains, boats and vans.Over the years I have tried everything, and found that this original ducts tape, the waterproof kind, is the only way to ensure boxes stay box shaped, address labels stay on the box( I also attach 3 more inside, one attached to the inside of the box, one on the wrapped present and a third address label inside the wrapping paper, and yes it is necessary, my nephew in Thailand only got his birthday present several years ago because of the third and final lable), the duct tape doesn't shift, doesn't peel, doesn't get lifted or removed in wet conditions, and it is string, string enough to reinforce cardboard boxes( I reuse Amazon boxes) on all sid s but particularly corners.Ok, so they have to take a Stanley knife to their boxes to actually open them when they get them, but rather that than have it not arrive because " damaged in transit"So, I can't tell you if it will seal a gasket, or hold a tow bar on or any of those regular uses for duct tape, but should you ever send a package and really want it to get there in one piece...this waterproof Duc tape is worth ever penny.

Does what Duck Tape does ..sticks to things
Used duck tape for many years and was surprised to read quiet a few negative reviews as I'd always found it great in both professional use and home use.Gladly not disappointed with this latest roll either.I agree the tape is a little thinner than my last roll (3yrs old - was the big one), but it's retained it's strength, fabrics and materials improve over years and I'd say this is as strong as the old stuff.Still need to start the tear off, usually with a small bite on an edge, then t tears nicely in a straight line. It's really sticky, you have to work duct tape out to use it properly, keep it straight for as long as possible, because if it twists on itself and sticks togther, invariably you'll need a new peice (one of the manin moans in other reveiws - you need to use this stuff properly).I was enclosing some polyfoam to stop i being rubbed and getting damaged, so was applying to a surface that doesn't readily like sticky tapes, but it stuck really well asn as I did a double loop its vreated a great protective covering. I did the each loop in 3 sections, about 30cms long, long enough to keep straight, guide into the box and to the polyfoam separater without catching the strip on the sides, fixing on end on a corner, then using both hands to keep it tight and guide it onto ther separater in straight lines.Using this stuff needs a bit of patience, not to be rushed, as it will catch you out if you let it. Ths is the same for most good duct tapes, because once they've stuck, they're stuck..

Good value for money but disappointed
I was disappointed with the effectiveness of the product. The strength of the product it wasn't as strong as I thought it would be.Once stuck to a surface it would often come up off it, so I to give another rub to stick it down

Reasonably Good Duck Tape
I tried this brand, as I needed duck tape asap, over my normal industrial strength duck tape. The cons I have found are: it’s slightly thinner than my usual tape and not as strong although as you can imagine industrial strength tape means that whatever is being stuck together is not moving - ever. The Pros: It sticks well to different surfaces, I needed to hold up temporary insulation fabric to an exposed part of a loft conversion to stop a draft and it seems to have stuck well to plasterboard and the exposed wall. I had to apply quite a bit of pressure and use a little more than normal but considering the roughness of the materials it was being stuck to it did quite well. Also, being a thinner material meant it was much easier to cut without getting stuck to your scissors/hands which is the case with industrial tape. So the process was much less stressful with this brand. Considering how well it has coped with this project i assume the average use will be great. The Cons: I would be a little apprehensive using it on stronger materials like metal even though it does have good adhesion, it doesn’t quite look as though it would hold anything that may require a strong thick tape to keep in place.
