I did wash on gentle and cold, laid them outside to dry, and ironed them before using. There was no shrinkage. They fit beautifully and easily slid over the 24" Euro inserts. These are very pretty I really like the color and material. I bought 22x22 covers and 24x24 pillow inserts to make it look like tighter but I think maybe a little bigger pillow insert would look better.
