First time waxing at home - I am pleased!
I have never waxed myself ever... always shaved. I've gotten a few Brazilian waxes but those add up quick so on a whim I decided to buy an at-home wax kit and found this one. After reading reviews I decided to spend the extra few dollars and buy the warmer with the digital temperature screen and I am so glad I did. Even after a few tries of waxing, I felt so much more comfortable with heating the wax and setting it to a temperature that I felt worked best for me (160). I ended up using the wax the same day I got the kit because I was impatient and IT HURT - but honestly that was to be expected. It hurt for a few minutes then was totally fine. I tested a few patches on my leg to see if I would react poorly to wax and I didn't. Instead of leaving it at that, a few hours later I decided to do a like half Brazilian wax (just the top part - absolutely no way can I go farther in pulling the wax myself) and WHEW. OUCH. But again, to be expected. It is not for the weak though. I will be taking Advil before I begin next time. That being said, the hair is completely gone and I am extremely satisfied with the results (minus a few hairs you can tweeze). At EWC I broke out after my Brazilian so I was nervous that would happen with this wax, but it didn't. This is very beginner friendly (pre/post spray, gloves, wooden sticks, 4 bags of wax) and I'm looking forward to seeing how well it works for my underarms and the rest of my legs when the hair gets a little longer.

Will save you lots!
So I bought the cheapest one, came with four packs of beads, wax sticks and the pot (of course) with a pre & post wax spray. I wish I would’ve paid the extra $6 to get the one with the digital temp. The one I have just shows on, off, medium and high. It works well, but I feel like you really have to keep an eye on the consistency to make sure it isn’t too hot. On the other hand, it cools off quickly. All that to say, I waxed my lip, and eyebrows within the first hour of getting this and I love it! Eyebrow wax alone is $15 in my area so it’s well worth it!

Best Home Wax kit I've tried
Years ago I had my first professional bikini - it used wax and strips. Not bad, just a bit expensive for me. Tried the home route - soft wax (wax and strips), sugar/honey combos, heat in microwave, etc. None of them really worked or were too messy or fussy. Then recently, I decided to try again and went to a chain place. They used hard wax (no strips) and the aesthetician did a great job (and it was less expensive than that first time). My BF liked it so much, I offered to get him a session. Nope. Didn't want strangers playing down there LOL.So I looked around, read reviews, checked out several kits, and decided on this one. I tried it on my arms to get a feel for how hot the wax should be (set it to 190 until it was melted and then dropped it to 150. May try 140 next time). Watched YouTube videos for how to handle that area. Some things I noticed when doing the waxing:If the hair is too long (suggested is 1/4 to 1/2 inch (6cm to 12cm) long, it will hurt more because it will grab onto adjacent hairs and grab them too. Part of hot wax is that heat opens the pores which makes it easier to rip out the hair.Be patient, if you don't give it enough time to cool properly (still pliable but not hard), it won't come off properly and you'll have to pull again. You want the wax to be hot enough to melt but not so warm that it takes a long time to cool. I tried it at 160 at first and it stayed sticky too long (I touched it and it was still gummy).Get some aloe with lidocaine gel. After you use the post wax oil/lotion included in the kit, the aloe and lidocaine will moisturize and sooth the area.If you've never done this before, watch as many videos as you can before you start. I found ones from professional salons and they not only showed technique, but also gave tips on setting up.Remember, you're using wax. Have rags or some other disposable covering under where you'll be waxing. You're going to drip and wax is really tough to get it out of fabric - think of spilled candles on a good tablecloth.

Strong enough for my Italian Stallion
Yes! Not a lot of waxing products are strong enough for my man and is thick Italian hair but this one is. You can use the wax with or without strips (aren’t included). For thick hair like his we have to use with strips, but it works great. It will automatically turn the heat off when it comes to temperature and then turn back on when it gets too cool. This helps make the waxing process easy and stress free. Our favorite waxing kit!

Consistent temperature
After trying a hard waxing kit that involved microwaving the wax and being very disappointed (and burned) I got this melting pot. So far I’m incredibly happy with it! It gets to temp quickly and stays consistent. No burns, great wax consistency and a much better experience. I especially love the removable silicone liner.
