Basics of Legal Document Preparation

I have owned two of these, I consider this to be a MUST HAVE. Both of mine were stolen. One was stolen by the City of Elk Grove!.I will be buying another, I use them primarily to help others!

I've compared this book to [...] online, the forms seem a little outdated based on the legal language used in the book, but it does serve its purpose and then some. I highly recommend this book to paralegals or those trying to write their own legal documents.

My college instructor at UGA-Griffin, referred us to this book as a guide to assist in the paralegal field. It was very helpful and gave me great insight to the legal field and what is expected of me. A great book to use and review document layouts.

It's a legal textbook that I need for school and it is not something that I would willingly purchase if it wasn't necessary. The book has good information, it is pretty easy to read and follow, but the material is super dry. Again, what do you expect from any legal textbook? The price is really what this rating is for - it is excellent. My school sent me to the publishers website who wanted $280 for this book new. I got it used and in good condition for under $50! Can't beat that!!

This was a required text for post bachelor studies/certificate in Paralegal and it gives the basic fundamentals in legal document prep. Worth keeping as a general reference, although your local courts would have minimal rules (specific 'addition') of their own for you to follow. Highly recommended.

I am studying to be a paralegal, and this book is a requirement for my courses. I have already found errors in the text and I am only up to chapter 3! For example. the "model contract for sale of real property" on pp. 45-46 is missing section seven; it skips from section six to section eight. And on page 52, the text says, "The lender is called the mortgagor, and the borrower is called the mortgagee." Wrong! It is the other way around! I'm just a student finding these errors. What happened to the proofreaders and editors of this textbook?
