This product has a wonderful smell of vanilla upon opening it! That was a pleasant surprise that I didn't expect! It just made me more excited about the product. I was also eager to try this because it is a protein shake for kids ages 5 and over, and vanilla is such a tasty flavor! I didn't know about protein shakes designed with kids in mind. Well, I definitely had to taste it first to ensure that it would be well received! Despite not having any added sweeteners or sugars it has a good taste. It has a light sweetness that is subtle, but so good! I used a blender to mix the product with milk instead of water and it was delicious! I placed it in the freezer once after mixing it with milk, and it was chilled. It was so refreshing! I even mixed the protein with milk, half a banana and added some tumeric. Everything blended nicely and did not overpower the flavor of the shake itself. It was slightly creamy and a bit sweeter. I had it one time between lunch and dinner and it gave an extra boost of energy. In addition, it was a sufficient filler until the next meal. It's a tasty shake that I definitely want to keep in the pantry!

My child is a picky eater and doesn't like eating breakfast. I was trying to find a beverage that would give him some nutrition and keep him from being hungry before school lunchtime. After reading reviews and seeing ads for this protein shake, I thought I had found the answer! We mixed it with milk first, thinking it would be like a milkshake. The consistency was great, but taste, not so much. My son said it tasted like spoiled milk. So we tried mixing it with water as the directions say. It tasted even worse than the milk shake. It was bright yellow when mixed with water and I don't think even I would be able to choke a cup of it down. Unfortunately it is not returnable. Save your money and look at other protein shakes, because this one does not taste good!

My kids don't like it and would rather drink the vegan stuff in a carton. Gross. I try blending it with a banana and add chocolate syrup to help mask the taste. I think it's delicious and would rather use this than "adult" protein power.

My daughter loves this protein shake. She just started school and has had it for a meal replacement before school and it's got her through the few hours she's there. She has lots of energy and it keeps her full. She prefers this shake over any other one that she's tried and it has everything she needs for the day, so I don't worry if I skip her multivitamin. With 16grams of protein she's getting what she needs health wise in for a good amount of the day. I can't wait to see her growth spurts continue as the year goes on. I was surprised at how big of a bottle it was when I received it. I've mixed it in shakes and baked goods so far and it just enhances the flavors. It's Definitely kid approved!
