I am so angry no one told me about these machines before. A friend casually mentioned having something like this. Previously, I was brushing my retainers with a toothbrush and tooth paste every few days. My friend said that's not a good idea because the tiny abrasions can hold bacteria. Made sense. So I immediately got this little machine and have used it every day since I got it (about a week ago). It's quiet, pretty small, I get clean retainers EVERY day, and it's really not that expensive. I don't know how long it will last, but if it lasts even 2 years I will consider it a huge win. If only the dentist had mentioned this 2 years ago. Highly recommend this thing.

I ordered my retainer cleaner through Amazon. It arrived the next day, well packaged. I read the instructions, plugged it in, and cleaned my Invisalign retainers for the first time. I’ve used this cleaner daily for the past 159 days.I’m a tall male with large retainers. They fit in the machine easily. It does not seem to matter if they are flat on the bottom of the machine, overlapped, or loaded on an angle, the cleaning process seems to work. The plastic of my retainers had become cloudy with buildup. Normally I take them to my dental appointments every six months to be cleaned, but at the first use this ultrasonic machine removed most of the cloudiness. I later used the machine with a retainer cleaning tablet, and the plastic was left completely clear and clean. This process cleans my retainers really as well as the expensive machine at the dentist, and its nice to have fresh retainers every night. I even ran my old set of retainers through a cycle with a cleaning tablet, which left that plastic clear and clean so that I now use them as my travel set. The tablets seem to leave the retainer and the machine quite clean, and it’s worth periodically using either a cleaning tablet or adding about a tablespoon of Scope or Listerine whitening mouthwash to the water, which leaves my retainers smelling, and tasting, fresh.The water should be dumped and the machine should be rinsed after each use. After cleaning retainers the water may be slightly cloudy and have a slight smell. Rinsing the machine with tap water leaves is important, and occasionally adding a tablespoon of whitening mouthwash to a cleaning cycle also keeps the machine fresh. The instructions say to be careful not to get water in the lid or in the back of the machine, which is easy to avoid. They also instruct not to overfill the machine with water, and the tub has an obvious “max fill” line.This is the only ultrasonic retainer cleaning machine I’ve ever owned, so cannot compare to others, but I’m very satisfied with this machine; it’s nice to have fresh retainers every night

I’m so glad I finally bought this after being on the fence for a few months. I have 3 Invisalign retainers that I rotate and one started to get stains that I could remove with Retainer Brite alone. The stains were in a spot that the toothbrush would fit into and I was worried that this could eventually cause an oral infection.The retainer with the stains has no more! I added the retainers on the green mode first (5 min) but still saw some. I put the retainers back in on red mode (10 minutes) and the retainer came out stain free and crystal clear. Great purchase and worth every penny.

Easy to clean and use. It will knock the buildup off of the places that are difficult to reach with a toothbrush. I'm only giving 4 stars because of the false advertisement with the before and after pictures. If your aligners have stains, they may lighten up slightly using this, but they will not look like new. I tested it with an old set and after 10 six minute cycles there wasn't much difference in the staining. I just take mine out now when I drink anything besides water. That's the best way to keep them looking fresh.

This is the one to choose! I first bought the ultrasonic retainer cleaner for my oldest son to keep his retainers from getting that haze on them that comes with time. It worked so well that my husband wanted one for his mouth guard. And then my twins got their braces off and they wanted one too. I probably could have gotten one or two to share, but it is much easier that they each have their own and can take them when they travel. Definitely a good investment to keep retainers clean and looking new!

I literally use this 3 times a day for my retainers and it cleans it so well! Doesn’t ruin them and it’s super lightweight and easy to clean right after. It will not ruin your retainers you can even put jewelry in it. Worth the price! As a coffee drinker this has kept my retainers crazy clean and heat level is perfect for sensitive plastic. Super easy to use and doesn’t leave my retainers a weird taste on them.

Amazing product. I have the problem with my retainers where they always feel dirty or have a weird smell after a few days of not cleaning them. This products Functionality works exactly as advertised, it took the grime off and the weird taste away. I pop it in the machine each morning after taking them out and I haven't had a single issue, yet the size and weight is super nice to have it portable. Recommend to anyone with dentures retainers etc.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Liked the size and cleaning options, however, unit did not function as described with the 4 options of cleaning. Ordered replacement, same issue.UPDATE! Contacted seller, Seller responded to unit not calibrated correctly with the 4 phases of operation, they clarified that the readout is in SECONDS, not in minutes as the manual states.
