I have a 10-inch serrated bread knife that is very, very sharp, so I wanted a knife guard for the edge. Because the knife is not tall, I wanted a short height guard. Many 10 inch guards are for wide chef knives - 2 inches is a common width for guards.When I searched Amazon for guards, I found this set, which seemed a good deal because it has a nice variety of lengths and widths, including the size I was looking for. A feature that I also like is at the end of the guard, where one side is angled relative to the other, which simplifies attaching the guard to the knife.

I bought a few different sized Henkels knives and they fit perfectly in these sheathes.

These are good knife guards, there is a lot to choose from. I did all of my knives in my knife roll and had a few left over to give to a friend. There has been the comment that one side is angled and the other is straight. Most of my knives are Zwilling Pro and they have a sloped bolster which I really like, the straight side of the guard sort of limits how far you can put the guard in. For a couple of my knife guards I took a Dremel with a cut off bit and cut the straight side down to match closer to the other slanted side. You can see that in the photo with the 2 knives. The photo with the 3 knives you can see the Mercer knife guard for the cleaver, the thing I like about the Everpride brand is the inside is lined with a flocking or felt like material. This makes it easier to slide on, and off, the knife. The Mercer is just all plastic and it sticks to the knife, making it very hard to get off. If I didn't have to cut down the one side of the guard I would have given this 5 stars.

Just what I needed

These knife guards are made from heavy duty plastic and keep my knives from rubbing against each other or against the drawer and becoming dull when not in use. They are substantial and keep me from cutting myself when reaching for a knife in the drawer. We use them upright between little blocks of wood so they are easy to sleeve and easy to access. They are very useful and I expect them to last a long time. I highly recommend them.

These are the only sheathes I use for my Miyabi and Shun knives. They stay on tight but aren’t hard to slide on and their interior is covered in faux felt.I’ve bought 3 sheaths that weren’t this brand from Sur La Table for new knives I bought from there. I ended up throwing them away before buying another set of these because I wasn’t happy with them. They are a snug fit but were hard to slide the knives in and I was worried about scratches because their interior wasn’t lined.These are the best!
