Best shaver Hands Down I’ve ever had my hands on! Very well built, feels Ford tough! Ergonomics is fire 🔥! Quality is A1, very smooth cutting, I’m bald and used it on my head and I was already bald it got me smoother! But I’m a barber 💈 and I know it’s gonna save me some time and bring my fades out! Very affordable, and smooth running device! Would but again anyday! Can’t wait to try out some clippers! Thanks for putting out such a wonderful product!

***UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW BELOW*** I have been a Remington electric razor user for 50+ years. My current unit is now so outdated that I can no longer get replacement blades and foils. I thought I would give this one a try. So far, the shave is good, just about as good as my old razor. The unit is heavy duty (I was impressed with the weight of the razor, not too heavy, but not lightweight, either). The adjustable speeds (from 7k to 9k rpms) is a nice feature and the display clearly shows remaining battery time (based on selected RPMs – higher speed = lower battery life). If that was all there was to the review, this would clearly be a 5 Star rating – but not so fast! There are some MAJOR discrepancies in the user manual and operating instructions that are not only confusing, but may be a safety issue, as well. In some places the instructions say the unit should NOT get wet and only the foil head can be washed under water. Yet, in other places, it says this is safe to use in the shower (unplug the charging cable first, of course). It also states in one place that this can ONLY be used cordless, yet in another place it clearly states it is intended for corded or cordless use (I checked, it will run when plugged in to a USB outlet, however, that was done with a full charge). See attached photos for examples of these statements. So which is it? Do I take the chance of ruining the razor or, worse yet, getting a shock, from using the razor in the shower? And if the battery dies while shaving, can I plug it in so I may finish or do I have to wait two hours while it recharges? VGR needs to revisit their instructions and correct these discrepancies. Another negative for this is the design and placement of the foil head release button. This is located on the opposite side of the razor from the power button (see photos). When trying to apply the needed pressure to release the head, you need to grasp over the power button to support the body, thus turning on the razor. This will take some time getting used to the best way to remove the head for cleaning without turning on the razor. The final concern is the sensitivity of the speed adjustment dial. When shaving, as you adjust the positioning of the razor against your face and your grip on the razor body, it is easy to make the speed control dial rotate, changing the speed (up or down). The dial is very easy to rotate, which is a good thing and a bad thing, depending on whether you are setting the speed or actually shaving. Based on these inconsistencies in the instructions and the location of the foil head release and power buttons, as well as the sensitivity of the speed dial, I can only give this unit 3 stars. 3 STARS AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ITEM I write honest reviews based on real life experience with each item to help others make informed purchases. I read reviews too, and appreciate how helpful they can be. I hope that you find this review helpful! ***UPDATE: SEPT. 9, 2025: It has been nearly a year since I received this razor. It is still going strong. However, I stick by my original comments and evaluation. I continue to struggle with removing the head cover for cleaning and still find the sensitivity of the speed control annoying while shaving. I have found that when the digital timer reaches about 30 minutes, the battery is actually depleted and dies. So, instead of the declared 120 minutes of run time, in reality I am only getting 90 minutes max. That is still a good amount of time, but not as advertised. One final downside is the inability to buy replacement blades. I would typically replace the blades once a year, however, VGR does NOT offer replacement blades for sale, even on their own website. When the blades get too dull to be effective, I'll have to buy a new razor. It won't be a VGR brand!

An excellent addition to anybody’s grooming kit. The full metal body feel really well crafted. And the rpm range tops out at 9000. That’s insane!

Gave this a good workout today. 4 days growth (I wouldn't normally use an electric when I've left it for this long) and this razor got the job done quickly and easily with a great finish. Very impressed with it, and I think at £70 it's reasonably priced when compared to the normal European brands. Come nicely packaged and has a storage bag and a usb C cable to charge with. Good battery life, and a great display, which surrounded by a movable bezel that allows you to reduce the speed from 9000 rpm down to 7000 rpm in stages. And this is why it it could lose one star! Everytime you touch the speed adjuster ring, even accidently, the razor beeps to confirm it's changed the speed. And that beep is really annoying. No need for it and spoils a brilliant product. So in use 5 stars, build quality, 5 stars battery, 5 stars, package 5 stars and value 5 stars, but the beep gets no stars! I think once I'm using it daily I'll know to avoid this part of the razor! So overall a solid device with one minor annoyance.
