Before Machine Learning Volume 3 - Probability and Statistics for A.I: The fundamental mathematics for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

I’m struggling with this book, now 100 pages in. The theme is a light-hearted plot of a diamond heist, but the author’s sense of humour is.. unusual. I haven’t found one joke remotely funny, and I wonder if English is actually his second language? There’s no link back to AI or ML at all in the first 100 pages, and while the pace is easy going, it is hard to see the relevance of the material. Honestly I think the book could be much improved. Perhaps I will try Probability for Dummies instead, before going on to more targeted ML probability texts.

What struck me most about this book was how each concept is paired with a practical example, all intriguingly inspired the diamond heist of 2003. This unique approach really helped clarify several concepts that I previously thought I understood well. It's a refreshing take that enhanced my comprehension in unexpected ways.

Its a pdf. Not a kindle book. Horrible and unreadable on devices

This book has helped me brush up on my statistics principles AND was entertaining. I loved the images, graphics, storyline, and SHORT CHAPTERS, which were easy to reference for when I had doubts later on and wanted to look back. I have bought the other two in the machine learning series too and will keep my eye out for more - Thanks Jorge!
