TOWO Wooden Counting Ring Stacker, 45 Rings Number Blocks Toy

This is a really well designed set for toddlers, with great attention paid to safety and durability. There are five pegs affixed to the solid wood base and chunky rings which are easy for little ones to handle. The chunky rings come in five colours (1 pale blue, 2 dark blue, 3 green, 4 yellow and 5 red) and they match the colours on the base, giving toddlers experience of colour matching. Young ones can count up to 15 as they go and as children get older, they can learn to take away as well as learning the concepts of more and less. The clever feature comes with the flexible pegs which are secured by strong string to the base, meaning the pegs will bend if a baby fell on it - a really reassuring safety feature. It's extra fun for the child too, as they 'ping' the pegs over... and over... and over. It's also an ideal toy for developing hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills. The toy is suitable for 1year and up and Toys of Wood Oxford sensibly advise that parents or other adults are present to supervise and enjoy the interaction of children with this toy. It's a really well made toy, chunky and very satisfying to play with, and the vibrant paint colours make it very attractive.

This toy is exactly as a brilliant Montessori toy should be - aesthetically pleasing, good to handle, and lots of fun. My three year old daughter headed straight in with creating her own games; the other great thing about the toy is that all the pieces “fit” in various ways, so there is no “right” way to do it (unless an interfering adult insists that you can’t put 8 next to 3!). However, as well as matching counting rings to corresponding number tabs adjacent, colours also coordinate, so even a child still just learning their numbers (my three year old) can see how the colours coordinate and learn the sequences that way. Having said that, my nine year old was delighted to play with it too! I just have to keep the toy away from the baby - some of the parts are quite small.

Nice colours, rings as well as whole toy are quite small which I did not like initially but it is actually easier for baby to grab and hold. I like it, baby seems to like it but it should be cheaper in my opinion, it is made in China. It arrived with scratches on paint at the base (see last few photos), it is odd as it was well packed and wrappped in foil. It says suitable for 1+, I agree.

I LOVE this simple wooden toy. It is very easy to use and stimulate fun and educational activities. i use it with patients as cognitive therapy and they are all fascinated by the colours and easy stacking system. Really good value for money, a lovely size, just right for small (or arthritic!) hands and can be placed on floor or a table to play with. Nicely finsished and beautifully painted. Staff at work wanted them for their children and i have passed on Toys of Wood as a trusted and recommended company to buy these lovely toys from.

Good quality product. My son has enjoyed stacking the colours in different ways and then getting the pieces in the correct order. It's helped develop his understanding of the connection between the number of items, the number as symbols, and the number as a written figure. I thought it might be limited to that bit he's started till me how many more blocks of each colour and trying to describe the colours in more detail as there's more then one type of green, for example. The only draw back is that my 1 yr old likes to his the pieces.

This product is amazing from start to finish!The colours are bright & noticeable. I love that their is two shades of blue, so my daughter can learn there is more then one Blue colour. The poles that hold the Beads Bend when pressure is put on them, which is great for my little one, who is always failing down. And now I do not have to worry about her being injured with this toy. I give 5 stars and I will buy again for my friends child. Thank you.

I bought this for my 13 month old grandson as he loves stacking rings. It’s beautifully made and we all get enjoyment from stacking the rings.He has to be watched though as he still puts things in his mouth and the rings are relatively small.

Overall I think it is a decent product. Easy to use. But a couple of pieces are chipped or cracked.

Très bon petit jeu pour enfant.Je l’ai acheté pour ma fille après avoir vu qu’elle aimait beaucoup ce type de jeu à la crèche, et ça n’a pas raté : elle adore.Au début (vers 1 an et demi), elle jouait surtout à empiler les anneaux sans forcément faire attention aux couleurs. Mais avec le temps, elle a commencé à mieux comprendre et à associer les couleurs entre elles.C’est justement ce que j’aime avec ce jouet : il est évolutif et accompagne bien le développement de l’enfant.Simple, efficace et ludique, il fait très bien le job.
