Exactly as expected, comfortable, light, for reasonably chilly weather
This jacket is exactly as what I thought I'd get from the product page, the coloring, sizing, feel, and weight all matched my expectations. As described, it is as soft, if not softer, than my mainstream brand (that starts with a P) jacket equivalent. As with my other similar jacket, the softness of the material does well from a wind-breaking standpoint, but I can see it tearing after getting caught on the slightest sharp twig - I didn't dock any stars because this seems to be the case with all down-style jackets I've interacted with. The inclusion of the optional hood is a fantastic addition, as I'd find myself using a different jacket or shell underneath my other down jacket just for the hood alone. The size fits well and may run just the slightest bit more snug than other similarly sized jackets I've purchased, but fits great and should work for at least 90% of those who are accustomed to ordering a particular size. From a thickness standpoint, it is slightly less thick / puffy than my mainstream brand equivalent, and for that reason, it may not withstand quite as much cold (I'd say 10-20% less). That being said, it's less than half the price of a mainstream brand and looks and fits great, so will definitely be reaching for this as the winter season approaches. Would definitely recommend!

A fine casual jacket
- Properly sized (I'm in the U.S. - bought one size larger "because" and it is about 1-1.25 sizes larger than what I normally wear).- Looks good - I got the khaki green and this matches my expectation (not to dark, not too light).- The materials tag says outside is nylon and that insulation is polyester (one part of the description says cotton insulation, but that seems inaccurate and unlikely, since it isn't the 1800s).- The hood will be great to have (you can stash it in one of the larger interior pockets) if the temps drop.- Use - I would put this jacket in the category of casual wear. The insulation is about 1/4" thick / 1 cm. Should work great for chilly (not cold) days (unless you layer). Functional in cloudy weather (but not rain - the thin nylon outer layer isn't really going to repel any water, but it may delay it getting to you). I've worn this type of nylon before and rain will penetrate in about 5 minutes.- Temps - everyone responds differently to "feeling cold." That being said, I would take this along for temps around freezing, with no chance of significant drops in temp or any chance of precipitation. If I had on a sweater or a fleece, I could use this for 10F below freezing.- Comparison - I live near "serious" mountains and spend quite a bit of time on adventures. So I have "serious" gear. But I also have casual / stylish gear. This jacket is adjacent to a "big name" casual light weight down jacket / sweater - except the fill is polyester rather than down (and there is less of it) and polyester isn't as warm as down. So I would put this in the stylish / casual category. I wouldn't count on it for a serious adventure where my gear can affect my enjoyment (and in some cases survival).TL;DR - a good looking, cost effective choice to stay warm in casual use, but not for "extreme" adventures.

Ready for fall
I like this puffer jacket as a warm option for cold weather. The medium fits well and has room for extra layers underneath. Sleeve length is ok, on the edge of being short. I love having a hood especially for windy days. The coat feels very warm, haven’t had super cold weather to test it out yet though.

Solid Jacket
This is a good jacket. It runs a little small, I think, but not uncomfortably so. Very lightweight, which is a plus. Kept me warm the only night that I've needed it. Looking forward to using it through the winter.

Jacket w/ hood
Very nice jacket that fits well/is true to size (I ordered size Medium) Lightweight & easy to compress so it won't take up a lot of room in packed in luggage. Front & pocket zippers work smoothly. Detachable hood is held on by approx. 6" zipper and velcro tabs on each corner. My only complaint is the hood is a bit big - it'd work perfect over a baseball or knitted cap, "big hair," or if wearing ski goggles, but for me it wants to droop down almost to my eyes. Cooler temps are not here yet but wearing it inside for a short time I could sense it'll keep me warm, especially with some layers underneath. Reasonably priced.
