Amazing value!
I've spent a great deal of money over the years looking for a perfect earbud style that fits my "small child like" ear canals. They're several that have been great sounding (B. QC, A.pods 4, A.pods Pro 2) but unfortunately they become uncomfortable after as little as 30 minutes of wear. I had one that fit pretty well but fell out as soon as I lean over or bend down to pick up something. (G. Buds Live) Yet, hope springs eternal, and I keep diving back into the ocean of ear buds looking for that "Goldilocks" pair.I may not have found "the one" but I did find one that works incredible well for me..and at a crazy great price. Before this purchase, my only experience with Tozo was when my wife and I were heading out on vacation and she asked me to pick her up some inexpensive buds she could wear at the beach without worrying about them getting lost or damaged. I found the t21's around $25 and ordered them for her. She raved about the sound quality, but she's not what I would call an audiophile (she still likes her original Beats from back in the stone ages), so I just wrote it off as good for the price. To say I was unprepared for the sound quality from a $50 pair of buds is an understatement. I was blown away...my experience with the big guys out there had me thinking I needed to spend easily over $100 to get decent sound quality. I was completely mistaken. Here's my opinion on the Tozo Open Earings.Sound quality - I mean, that's we buy earbuds. Out of the case (no app download, just connect and go) they were ok but not great. However, the second I downloaded the app and started playing with the EQ, I was blown away. I mean how much time, effort, and money would a small company put into an app for an inexpensive set of ear buds. Apparently a lot. Also, Why don't all ear buds have EQ adjustment? I have no idea, but I bet Big Fruit will introduce it in a few years and add another $20 to the price tag. The clarity at the high end and mids, is excellent, only beat by Big Fruit. Voices come in clear as a bell on calls and podcasts. The bass is better than it has any right to be considering the amount of outside noises that can comes in due to your ears being open to the outside world. Maybe it's because I had such low expectations based on the price, but these are currently my favorite sounding buds outside of Big Fruits most recent iterations. These also get much louder than I would have suspected. With outside sounds being able to get through it makes sense that they should get loud, but they became uncomfortably so after the 65% mark. They're plenty loud in an office setting well below that point. I normally keep them about 35% volume at home and maybe 45% at work, if its particularly load that day. As far as Call Quality on the Receivers End goes, my wife says I sound ok, but not as good as I do on stem style headphones. It makes sense as the mics are further away from your mouth. It's probably the weakest part of these buds.Design - I wasn't sure about the look of these and truthfully, my coworkers aren't sold on the look either. I get a lot of double takes and jokes when someone walks by my desk, but I didn't purchase them for people to look at so the look isn't a real Pro or Con. The cool thing about the design is how they sit in my ear and don't create pressure points on the stiffer parts of my ear cartilage. That's the issue with stem style buds I've tried. These gently clip on to the softer mid part of the ear. I was worried they would "clip" too strongly and pinch my ears and would end up in my children's rotation or on the island of misfit toys. They feel strange at first and I was very aware of them for about 30 minutes. Having said that, I got used to them pretty quickly. Because they will fit different with different ear shapes, I can't guarantee they'll be a great fit for everyone but they do allow for several different positions on your ear so it was easier for me to find a position that was secure, not pinch-y, and kept the sound in my ear. The only caveat is that it takes me a couple seconds to maneuver them on my ear each time I go to put them on. That may get better over time as I build some muscle memory when it comes to putting them on. The ear rings are great for the office due to being able to hear others around me so that if someone speaks to me, I can hear them clearly. The best part of this design though is that I don't even think about them falling out. I can literally do anything I normally do with these on. I wear them most of the day at work, driving in my car, working out and working in the yard. They haven't fallen off even when I'm perspiring pretty heavily. The last feature I'll mention is the ability to use either ring on either ear. When I'm listening to music I tend to wear both in the "correct" ear, but to double the life and to not be as noticeable, I will sometimes wear them one at a time in my ear away from most people. That allows me to charge one while the other is playing, essentially allowing me to for over 5 hours at a time. The only issue with that is the noticeable drop in the quality of listening. I end up turning the single bud up more so I can hear as clearly. That could be an old man kind of problem and not a U kind of problem, so take that complaint with a gain of salt.Case/App - The case is plastic but the lid holds closed well even with me shaking them trying to dislodge them. It's a little on the larger side, when compared with Stem style cases, but isn't noticeable in my pocket while walking or sitting. The case is a little heavier than I expected and feels solid, not cheap. It has one killer feature and that's the LCD Screen that tells you the battery percentage of the case and ear rings, left and right. Why don't all ear buds offer this, especially at 3 and 4x the price? The world may never know, but I bet Big Fruit will introduce it in a few years and...sorry, said that once already. The App is the key feature, as it unlocks the sound quality and lets you customize your sound signature. I tried several of the recommended EQs and one stood out above the rest, Perfection by srecje. It was almost exactly the same as the one I put together and is by far my favorite of the recommended sets. The only issue with app I've noticed is needing to log back in every couple days. It's not actually a problem but is just kind of weird. Once you set the EQ, it stays on the ear rings, and you don't actually need to keep opening the app. I mainly play with the app out of curiosity about using different EQs setting for different styles of media. If your not a nerd like me, you can set it and forget it and be fine.Range - The last couple of ear buds I've tried have had very good range and this one is no exception. The connectivity is strong even from my first floor up to my second floor. When it does start to get out of range, you get a couple drops to let you know you're at the end. No range anxiety outside of being away from my phone for too long, I might miss out on some funny tikky tokkySummary - If you read all of that, Bless You're Heart. You're either researching me because my manifesto's been published and now you're stuck doing a piece on Live at 5 or.....you really want know the book ends.I really like these buds as a solution to my problem, which is small ear canals and pressure sensitive ears. The price tells you one story but the quality tells a completely different one. Even if you ultimately decide the look is it's too far outside the box, or you're concerned about the small clamping pressure on the ear not working for you, and decide on another style, I would recommend giving this brand a shot. Based on my wife's experience and my own, I think this company is one to consider even against the big guys in the market. I don't want to oversell, just let you know how my expectations have been exceeded. These won't be for everyone. Outside noise is the main reason to buy or not buy these. Do you need to hear your surroundings pretty well? Then yes, try these before giving a big guy $200 or more. Do you want something in this shape/style and don't want to spend $200 to find out if you actually do or not? Then yes, I highly recommend. Are you looking to disappear into whatever you're listening to? No, I don't recommend these. The quality is great but the design will be an issue for those who want to block out the world. Are you willing to get some weird looks and/or questions and/or "jokes"? if the answer is no, stay away, cause that's what you're signing up for. For those of us that can stand the slings and arrows from those less adventurous souls, then these are worth your time and your money...and that's saying something these days.

Great product, AMAZING customer service!
So right off the bat, I LOVE the Open EarRings. I have never liked the earbuds that go into your ear, and when every company moved to have that little silicone plug, I tried most brands until I evenetually I switched back to over-ear headphones. But my sister actually bought a big brand model of the open ear headphones and said that she really like them so I did some digging and found out that Tozo makes some too. I've gone with Tozo before for earbuds and I appreciated the app that allows you to equalize the sound personally and even locate the earbuds with some of their newer models, so I decided to give the Open EarRings a try too and I fell in love! Not only does it NOT go into my ear, but they are so light. My ears are very sensitive, which is probably why I don't like earbuds, but since it doesn't even touch my ear canal, it doesn't bother me at all! And I've gone whole days with them on because I forget they're even there with how light they are. Not only that, but the sound is incredible. I still don't fully understand how they work... I guess it just "shoots the sound" into your ear, but I also noticed that somehow no one else can hear what I'm listening to. I bragged about them so much that I ended up buying my dad a pair for father's day and then I convinced my other friend to buy some too and they've also told me how much they like them! Now, I will say that the right EarRing stopped working out of nowhere and just doesn't produce sound anymore, but I use them so often now that I probably damaged them somehow or maybe even overused them so quickly. I am not even lying when I say that I use them everyday at work and for the entire day. And they last the entire 8 hours of my shift! Technically 9 because of course I use them during my lunch hour. But I'm allowed to because of the open ear feature that is even better than ambient sound because it actually just let's me hear what's going on around me instead of filtering the sound through. My over-ear headphones have the ambient sound feature and for some reason some sounds come in slightly staticky. Likely also due to overuse, but that's not a worry here! And lastly, I would have originally made this review a 4/5 star review because one of the EarRings stopped working, but I reached out to Tozo and not only did the customer support rep reply within the hour, but it was on a Saturday (and to be honest, probably really early in the am) and she was so helpful and patient while walking me through the troubleshooting steps and helping me find a solution. Thank you, Lilac. If I'm being 100% honest, I don't care much for the touch sensors that replace buttons being placed on the back of the EarRing (the part that magnetizes to the back of the ear), and if I turned too far for too long the "long press" would activate, I guess on my neck. But I actually just went in to the Tozo app and just disabled that feature and I haven't had any issues since. I do appreciate being able to just tap my ear and pause my video whenever needed, it makes it a lot more efficient than having to open my phone, tapping to pull up the streaming bar, and then pressing pause.Overall, for this price, this quality, and this customer service, I can't give it less than all 5 stars. I will definitely be relying on this company for future audio hardware needs!
