This is a beautiful shelf. The packing was very solid and protective. The variation in under shelf lighting colors makes it fun to experiment for best effect of different colors, considering ambient light variations. It took approximately one and a half hours for an engineer to assemble. It is capable of a raft of different levels of functionality, if you also download the Chinese app which comes with it. That would of course be the individual purchaser's decision to use or not. Giving it a 4 due to the length of time for the somewhat intricate assembly process.

This thing is pretty darn cool. If I could give 4.5 stars I would because the fit and finish is not quite perfect (there is a small gap between the bottom piece and the front vertical piece that allows a little bit of light to show through...but really I'm being kind of picky) and the assembly directions, while adequate, left me with a few questions along the way. But overall, it's closer to 5 stars than 4, so here we are. I don't know how often I'll use the lighting effects (they would probably add something fun to a party), but it's a neat feature; and even without the lights, the unit looks really nice. Overall, I'm glad I bought this, and it was worth the money!

So, this might be bigger than you need...or maybe want. But for the price, oh man, this great. Easy to put together, the lighting is cool, but it looks just fine with no lighting. It is big. I didn't fully appreciate how big even though I ran a tape for the space I was going to put it in...wife not as enthusiastic about it as I am. Go figure.

Mine came with a sharp cut in the light strip. The leds past the cut do not work and the ones just in front of the cut flicker. It's a do it yourself assembly thing and usually companies are pretty good about sending a replacement part so they can avoid a total product exchange. Not so here. There's an email address in the box but it's completely ignored. Also, the app for this is called magic latern and it's very sus. I got an error when attaching a photo to a txt "magic latern is having trouble running" I hadn't used it in weeks. It should have been in deep sleep and why in the world would it crash while I'm working in messaging app?

Lovely item and amazing customer service. I had a small issue with the item and the seller was fantastic and sorted it out straight away, nothing was too much trouble. Cannot recommend highly enough. Great value for money.
