Look's like the ups device has only one 12 output. would a 1-2 outlet adapter work for my 12 volt modem and router?

Can the output from this be stepped up to 48 volts using a dc-dc transformer?

The problem is that a DC-DC converter consumes power itself, which will reduce the amount of power available and further reduce runtime,

I tried but the plug isn’t compatible. I also did more reading and from my understanding, adding battery backup to the ont only supports Verizon voice, not data.
