I love this mortar and pestle. The small size is perfect for crushing tablets for my dogs. I've had it for a few weeks now, and I use it twice a day. There have been no problems - no chipping, no cracking. As I recall, the purchase arrived on time and in the condition promised.

great for grinding spices very finely in small amounts. If you are using fresh spice it is good to grind them fresh for every cook. This very small mortar and pestal are good for grinding small amounts thoroughly. It is made of porcelain so I know it is food safe

I add a daily supplement to help with hair balls in my cats wet food. This grinds that pill into a fine dust that is easily mixed into their food, otherwise they will eat around the pill lol! Also it's so inexpensive I was surprised at how good of quality it was. The bowl is ceramic and heavy. It's tiny but perfect if you only need to grind a few pills. It's also super cute so I leave to out as decor!
