Will it work with 2.0 amp batteries?

You can use the 1.5 amp and 2.0 amp batteries but you will find that the run-time and weight distribution are better with the 3.0amp and 4.0 amp battery.

Does it come with a sanding pad (usually triangular) ?

Not sure if Makita changed what they include with this bare tool since the last post, but it does come with two adaptors so other brands of attachments will fit on it! No Sanding pad :-( Punch in Makita A-96089 Sanding Pad on Amazon.

Doe the xmt03z multi-tool have a brushless motor? is it a makita star product. thanks for any help.

What blades are compatible with this model? ive seen the bosch and fein blades and they look they make work?
